The problem is I don't get where this "we weren't playing Yesterday" argument is coming from. It sounds like you just made it up Yesterday to defend Cuth and make yourself look less aligned with him.

People were allowed to do whatever the hell they wanted Yesterday and Cuth put in a token effort to avoid the yeet, even if he didn't have the will or time or whatever to do more. Scum!Waco doesn't go into Day 3 thinking "Well, Cuth is just dead," he's thinking "oof, Day 2 was close, might have to cut Cuth loose Today but let's see if we can get through this."
