What Tom is angling to do here as a wolf (and is trying very very hard to do so, might I add) is secure an extra mislynch + give himself an extra day phase before dying + kill the other JOAT during the night. This would mean his teammate is likely not in the lynch pool (i.e. isn't Waco/Rubicon) and we have to worry about a deepwolf.

You're reading that wrong: Waco did not respond to those at 12:30am, he responded to Vaimes and Wisp then in #387, and only replied to Ter much later on at 1:01pm in #484. Check the timestamps.
Ter's point is that Waco didn't care enough about her response to reply, which Waco admitted to and explained in the next quote of his you have (ymmv on how you take the quality of that reply, but I digress).

If you actually open up the spoilers in that post by Waco, you see that the quoted statements Vaimes make about Cuth are actually in favor of Cuth as town:
"Wisp, what in Cuth's ISO makes your vote correct?" (meaning "why are you voting Cuth, explain why he's scum.")
"Cuth feels less performative." ("less performative" = "rand<townier")
Which is not indicative of Waco defending him and makes me think you didn't open the spoiler tag to see that?
The intention seems more to press Vaimes.

I mean, I had similar thoughts on Cuth based on that exact meta Waco's mentioned, but I didn't really voice them.
At the time of Jari/Cuth and his vote, he was still lightly reading Cuth so it makes sense that he would vote the opposite as either alignment, buth, eh.
As for D3...I mean I don't see how he plays it like that as partners. But I've been burned by that mentality before lol.

D2 Cuth spew that I didn't already quote:

P#1554 and P#1805 sees Cuth really buckling down on a defense of Waco for "feels more flowy than when he was a wolf with me" reasons, which is obviously Not A Good Look.

I noted P#1557 specifically as being a way a wolf interjects into a v/v argument but really I just think Cuth's entire play yesterday points to him not being w/w with Fonti.

P#1853 I thought was interesting, because he's specifically trying Cobalt's alignment to mine. I find that when I'm wolfing it's super fun to call wolves w/w with villagers because you're making the villager a more likely misdunk regardless of whether or not your bro flips. THAT BEING SAID he then turns around and votes Cobalt in P#1885 which is something I need to check the context of to really be able to read into.

Most of the rest of Cuth's D2 is about Reg or Jari and thus not really super relevant? I do wanna check who all was around to react to Cuth's weird Reg tinfoil and see what that looked like.

Honestly, as scum, Waco has a tendency to run his thoughts by his partners and ask them what they think and for feedback before posting them.
It's a subconscious thing that I doubt has gone away since the last time we were scum together (literally the last game on this site) and now.
