I think Amys fake claim was pre-planned N3, scum team crafted it and expected to come into the day with 3 JOAT claims but no 'clear JOAT' type situation, because obviously not expecting another doctor save. I think it's possible that Vaimes as mafia hadn't grasped what was happening / why one was clear? And thought that bringing Sloth into the fray would give scum a better chance to win. Ultimately though, I think that post doesn't move the needle for me on him (isn't any more likely to come from town or mafia).

I kind of believe he believes his Vaimes case.

 

I could see a Para/Cuth/Vaimes team that was super excited to play together Day 1 and decided to come in townreading each other. I think that could explain the Akina shot, as well as the desperation to shut Reg down after Day 2.

 

Wasn't able to get back here after all, I have another commitment now then sleep. Will hopefully be able to lock down my reads/gameplan tomorrow.

 

Yeah, I get this completely and the 'it just didn't feel right' when on Waco was something I had too; it just didn't feel "this is going to end the game and we're going to win with it" type vibe at all. His frustration and lashing out at Fonti in some posts there doesn't feel like scum going down, it feels like town that thinks they're about to be misyeeted.

I also think that night kill makes a bit more sense from that team in a "Vaimes could also be scared of Newcomb replacing in" type thing. I'd need to look back at EoD1 though and see if the Akina kill makes sense from Cuth/Amy/Cobalt, because Amy/Cobalt were both under consideration at that point, so it might fit in a "fonti/x/x were pushing them and thought shooting them would look bad on them, shooting them looks bad, and dels/x/x were defending them so wanted to keep them alive. Bunch of rambly stuff from me, sorry.

Nod, I do think if Vaimes is town he objectively looks bad and makes it an easier push for Cobalt to do here as mafia, so am cautious of that. Are you at the same level of confidence re; Dels being town that I am?

I'm trying to find one person in Dels, Waco, Cobalt and Vaimes I don't want to yeet and it's almost certainly not going to be Dels.

I know this has been talked about, but I don't really see Waco defending a partner like this? At least, I don't see him defending Cuth and using it to scumread Ter.

 

Humm, I don't think Cuth posts these two things about scum!Cobalt when I'm starting to turn against him close to eod1? Like, Cuth probably just assumes the lack of activity is scum indicative for Cobalt if Cobalt is his teammate, whereas if he knows Cobalt is town, he knows the lack of activity here isn't scum indicative and he wants that clarification to know if he'll be ok helping to misyeet Cobalt.

 

There was an active effort between Para and Cuth and later Amy and Cuth to fake some banter in the thread. I think that makes Dels look better, because he was around but not really bantering with Cuth (up to the point I've reread, which is the post I'm quoting) and bad for Vaimes, because he was pushing for that banter with both Para and Cuth (and somewhat Gemma, but that was it). It doesn't really say anything about Waco and Cobalt, because neither of them were around to take part.

 

Scumbalt tends to be pretty agenday, so I don't think he points out that Tom should be scumreading a partner, unless he wants to set up a connection there later, maybe? I'd say if Cobalt never brought this up when we were talking about tom/Cuth being a thing on D3, then this is more likely a real thought.

 

There's also the question of whether Amy's Cobalt read was an attempt to pocket him or just her wanting to look like she was pocketing him. I'm leaning towards the former.

@Cobalt why did you reach out to Dels and not Amy when you were being run up d2?
