I just downloaded Mega Man X Legacy Collection on Steam and spent 2 hours yesterday blowing up 16 bit robots with another 16 bit robot and having the greatest time ever. That game originally came out in 1993/94, and I still love it with every fibre of my being.

When I get my Nes Mini hooked up, I'll go straight to Super Mario 3, from 1988.

So how about it, DLP? What's the oldest game you still play?

    Chess, kappa.

More seriously, I really enjoy Dawn of War: Dark Crusade still. A warhammer 40k rts from like 2005 or so? Technically an expansion on the base game from 2003.

I do enjoy going back to super mario 1, 3, and world on occasion. I have a list of some games I'd always wanted to play from the 90's that I'm making my way through glacially.

When I was still emulating actively this would have had dozens of entries, but it's been a couple years since then. Might spin it back up and give some old games a whirl.

Ehhh, active development and content put MMOs in a tricky spot with regard to age.

For me it's probably Final Fantasy 5 which I do about once every year and then probably Megaman X which is about once every few years. Used to play them more often but working on my backlog actively these days.

Probably the first Mass Effect (2007). Or Tetris, depending on how you count the various mobile knockoffs (1984 for the original version, probably a couple of years tops for the version on my current phone).

Heroes of Might and Magic 4. I keep going back to it for a few games once in a while. I regularly play Minecraft and that's pretty old now by game standards.

Put dates in your posts guys, helps with context!

Sims 2 (2004) I still play a lot of to this day. But the oldest is definitely the wonderful Pharaoh (1999) and Emperor (2002) - still among the finest citybuilders to this day. Nothing beats the magic of watching the nile flooding as your cities burn down.

Command & Conquer Red Alert. Even though I started on old PS1 and now play on PC, still one of my favorite games.

I regularly go through classic SNES and PSX-era RPGs. Just last month I re-played Breath of Fire I (1993) and II (1994), and am now finishing III (PSX, 1997). In the last year I replayed all the psx final fantasies, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, and others. Generally whenever I'm reminiscing about an old game for a while, I'll fire up an emulator and be a kid again for a few days.

Pc only? I always have fun with a good round of James Bond: Golden Eye on N64. What a glorious multiplayer game.

Half-Life 2 is probably the oldest game that I still quasi-consistently play. It hasn't aged great, but it's got a special place in my heart, so I end up playing through it and the episodes every year or two.

Goldeneye. Playing slappers only with big heads enabled is still my favorite game to pull out at a party.

Bought the old PlayStation Final Fantasy games for my Xbox One a couple months ago when they were on sale, which makes Final Fantasy VII (1997) the oldest* game I currently own and play. I have little to no interest in the new remake though.

*I have Final Fantasy IV for Nintendo DS, which I guess is both older (1991) and newer because it's a remake.
