I enjoyed XV, it was a solid game. I don't regret playing it... but I do regret not getting to play what it was envisioned to be before it spent a decade in development hell.

Same tbh. I’m getting cyberpunk on PC, and I don’t want Demon’s Souls that badly.

I invested ina gaming laptop about 5 years ago. It's still great, but definitely couldn't run cyberpunk. And choice between PS5 and trying to do another gaming pc has me leaning ps5.

You can upgrade your pc to a pretty decent high mid-range at the price of a PS5.

Just get a good SSD, and you essentially have access to a ps5.

Most of the laptop is integrated. And it works great for what I need a pc for.

    Plus exclusives.

I'm happy investing in a ps5.. i can trade in my ps4 and it'll only be about 300k bucks.

I'm getting one for God of War alone lol. Everything else is icing on the cake.

I managed to get a ps5 preorder so that's pretty hype. Unironically mostly excited for bugsnax.

Astrobot looks fun, and I'll be getting Miles at launch, but I'm most excited for third party games tbh. AC then Cyberpunk.

And I'll be getting those in December. A lot of my time in November will be spent on the new WoW expansion and Genshin Impact anyway.

Demon's Souls looks great and all, but if I play another FromSoft game, it'll be the kind with dashes and quick, furious combat like Bloodborne and Sekiro. No more fat rolling for me, lol...

The long, long rumored Mass Effect Legendary Edition was revealed yesterday! It's a remastered version of the trilogy - with all story DLC and all weapon/armor DLC (not sure if it has Pinnacle Station - those files were supposedly corrupted) - set to release for PC, Xbone, PS4 in Spring 2021 and for PS5 and next gen XBOX later that year. I don't know what will change beyond graphics, resolutions, and animations - I doubt they have given ME1 the gameplay mechanics of the latter games.

No multiplayer though, which fucking blows. I loved the ME3 and ME:A horde team multiplayer. Also, a "veteran" team is currently working on a new Mass Effect game (I suppose they're using veteran to delineate it from the newish team that worked on Andromeda. And supposedly the Jade Emperor writers are on board)

    I’m cautiously excited?

The ending of 3 will always been one of gaming greatest disappointments. (I literally kept reloading to see if I’d just made the wrong choice or something, but nope, 3 colors.)

a new game with those writers, if given time, could be really good.

I figured they used the term 'veteran' because the 'main' team is working on Dragon Age, no?

I expect this to be a lazy remaster like Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning was. I'm still excited by the idea of all three games in one package.

100%. Just having all 3 in 1 with all the DLC is worth it to me. Such a bummer no MP though

Can't say I am all that enthused about the ME remaster since that lacklustre ending (even with extended cut) makes finding motivation for replaying the game rather hard, at least for me. And its not like the rest of the ME 3 storyline is all that great either, for example the central plot is all about saving the earth but only with the relocation of the Citadel towards earth at the very end of the story does it make sense to prioritise that over for example lifting the siege the homeworld of the Turians while in the story everybody acts like rescuing earth is priority number 1.

Bah, the more I think about the game the less I like it, though the Citadel DLC was quite fun. Doesn't help that I am still angry at the treatment ME:A got, that was a game that deserved and needed a (free) remaster/remake or the very least continued support and instead was abandoned like an unwanted dog at a highway parking spot.

I feel like I'm the only person on the planet who didn't resonate with the story of any of the games...

If they don't rework the Paragon/Renegade system, the remaster ain't worth the money. The first two games lock you into either path if you wanted to open all the special dialogue options. ME3 at least combined the reputation meter into a single one, so you could choose blue/red and still get rep points for either option in future conversations.
