Unlike Zhongli, she has the lowest sales of any banner save Keqing and Childe. There aren't enough hard complainers out there to warrant a major rework.

That said, those numbers are pretty good for no reactions and unbuffed. And her single target capability is going to go way up when she gets an art set and melt comp more trailored to her kit.

Her main fault is she has no aoe capability. At all. If her infused arrows exploded and hit enemies in a cluster, no one would have problems with her.

 

I think it's pretty clear their intent was to deliberately not give her AoE (which is a shame given she's a fireworks specialist and her burst spreading would fit the archtype namesake SO well), the issue is she got nothing to compensate for having that capability neutered.

Now the AoE monsters do more single target damage than her too.... so what's the point of her?

Honestly, I agree with everything you're saying, but I also say be patient and wait for a real cryo turret / ranged attack buffer.

Like, her base C0 damage is just as good as C0 Diluc. It's just Diluc has Xingqiu, mona, melee cryos, swirlers galore, Bennett, etc all who perfectly synergize with him, as well as an artifact set tailored to maximize his damage.

It very unlikely she's going to get a rework, so everyone just needs to be patient and hope she gets a better run of arts/partners in the coming months. TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if the next artifact domain specifically buffs ranged damage in some way, given we have a whole slew of them coming up.

There have been some rumors circulating in the Chinese forums (although I'm not sure how they started or how credible they are) that we'll be getting another Mondstat add-on after the Inazuma island releases are complete (supposedly around Christmas/NewYear) that will tie-in with abyss/Khaenri'ah/Dragonspine lore. I'm hoping it will be the 'Black Castle' thing teased in early maps.

There was also a fairly trusted leaker awhile back claiming Chasm is set to be the intro area for Sumeru (it is apparently where Baizhu gets his medicines) and we'll see that towards the end of the version 2.

 

The old kung fu master in the new event mentions learning and honing his martial arts technique from 'boxers' in one of the other regions (forget the name). I wonder if it's teasing fist weapons in the future?

NGL the only cool thing from the presentation was the pic of all the Genshin characters in orchestral garb. I thought that they were gonna be skins... I doubt it though...

For that to happen we'd probably need to be able to use characters without Visions. Not impossible with people like Dainsleif in the story, but given how the combat in this game is so focused on characters' interactions with each other, I'm not sure how that'd work.

Yeah, I remember reading a long ago that Chasm was going to be made into the introductory area for Dendro that we'd pass through on our way into Sumeru.

It's just that people are saying that 2.1 finishes the Inazuma main story, so... we still have the last Inazuma island, Moonchase festival, Lantern Rite rerun, Ludi Harpastum, and probably Chasm, before 3.0.

 

I don't even bother looking that far ahead with the amount of slow roll. I expect 3.0 at around July next year.

The Sony collab is not really part of it, no. That came about due to Sony and Mihoyo finally reaching an agreement on the long-standing cross-save functionality negotiations. Playstation users won't get their Aloy until mid October (2.5 weeks after the 1 year anniversary). Mobile and PC users won't get theirs until the end of November.

 

As someone trying to purge his 14 minutes of playing on playstation from his PSN account so I can link it to my PC account, saying there's an agreement for 'cross-save functionality' is fucking generous.

Nah, but there's nothing much. Everybody got to 20k energy and stopped caring. If you already haven't, there are new companion furniture sets that reward you some primogems, so make those. After you're done with those, and are at 20k energy, park 8 companions in your teapot for drip feed friendship farm, and show up once in a while to collect your realm currency and friendship.

If you're just starting out with the teapot, you still need to craft everything once, and focus on purple quality furniture, since they give more realm energy per load placed and per time spent crafting them.

Oh, and if you care about achievements, start your flower farms right away... it's gonna take 300 days to get the achievements done.

 

So swings and roundabouts.

The new art domain can be farmed alone to gear so many characters. Both sets are bonkers and I assume BiS for many. Personally:

Severed Fate:

• Baal (maybe the new 4star too? I haven't looked at her)

These are just the ones I'm gearing for, THEN there's the other set, and I'd urge you to use it on anyone who either has a low energy corst Burst, or who doesn't really need their burst to dps:

• Yoimiya
• Keqing
• Ninng
• Childe

These are just the ones I'm gearing for. There's probably others it's good on too, and even the 2pce for both sets are great too.


The bad side...? That's a lot of fucking resin spent on doing the worst thing in the game...............

Edit: As an aside, farming for Baal is pretty cool. I'm technically farming for both her and Beidou (and Yoimiya) at the same time, and I can do that bc they need different gear.

If any of you are gonna get your inner whale on for Raiden Shogun, it looks like (according to RaidenMains reddit), when using her banner weapon, you're looking to get high ER (no more than 300%).

Why?

• One of her passives gives her .4% electro damage per 1% of energy recharge over 100% (the base) - that's 80% Electro Damage bonus if you get 300% ER. That's insane. At that much Electro Damage, getting an electro goblet has diminishing returns value, so the guys at RaidenMains recommend an Atk% Goblet.
• 200% ER from gear seems like a lot, right? Well, yes and no. If you get her weapon (55.1% at 90), have an ER sands (51.8%), use Severed Fate set (+20%) and get her to 90 (her ascension stat is ER. +32%) you'll have 161.9% (261.9) with zero ER substats. I personally only have 15% on helm and 12% on flower. Don't have an attack% goblet yet, which puts me pretty close. That's with 75% crit and 88% crit dmg.

Normally when characters scale in some with with ER, people tell you not to force it. I'm assuming that's not the case for Baal though because, with 300% ER, you get:

• Ultra fast energy gen for her incredible 90 energy burst
• +75% bonus DMG on her burst from the set (increases burst dmg by 25% of ER. 300*.25=75
• +80% Electro Dmg (.4% Electro damage for every 1% of ER above 100. 200*.4 =80)
• +56% attack (her banner weapon gives you 28% of your ER in Atk% for every point over 100. 200*.28 = 56)
  

Sorry for the wall of text. Tl;dr, RaidenMains suggest you build her ER sands, Atk% Goblet, Emblem Set and her banner weapon is BiS XD
