Jeremy Clarksons new show, surprisingly genuine and a really engaging watch.

I wasn’t a fan of the Grand Tour as it felt far more staged than Top Gear.

This was just a really nice show to watch.

    4.5/5

I haven't watched it all but seen a bit at my brothers, was good for a few laughs. I never took much to top gear/grand tour either just watched it because my friends did, but what I saw of the farm was genuinely good.

I watched it a few months ago and it was really good. Then again, I'll watch pretty much anything with clarkson, hammond and/or may

I think what shows it’s more than just his typical is that he won Farmer if the year. And UK Farmers almost universally like it as it shows the struggle of farming.

Jeremy Clarkson; one of the former hosts of the BBC show "Top Gear" in it's longest-running and most popular incarnation. Had something nuts like 300-400 million viewers worldwide at the peak, so he's incredibly well known in a certain crowd. He's also a mostly right wing, climate change denying hack with a newspaper column, who's spent the last 40 years courting controversy for its own sake. So he's kind of a shitbird, but an entertaining one.

At the core of it, Clarkson's Farm is popular because Clarkson is popular. He's previously (mostly) done a mix of semi-comedic car shows and really earnest, well-written war documentaries, and this series has the exact same sense of humour as Top Gear, and some of the earnestness of the documentaries. It's a fucking weird show if you think about it, but it works.

And yeah, agreed. It's my favourite thing any of them have done since leaving the BBC.

I prefer May's programs (cooking show, Japan travel blog) but Clarkson's Farm was very, *very* entertaining. And had a much larger production budget, too.

Yeah, I like Our Man in Japan better still as well, but Clarkson's farm was pretty damn good. I do question the 'new' in the thread opening a little bit :)
