err...you do realize that he can go through walls, including floors.

Half of the things here don't make any sense, you know what with having powers and people trying to save the world by using a cheerleader. And i'm pretty confused by that question. Do you mean the training because the wooden swords actually do touch. Actually i'm surprised that Hero can move that fast considering his err...eccentric behavior. I know, i know, stupid of me but meh!

That actually would be a cool use of his powers though if your think about it... he can freeze time, he can travel through time, and via the museum gig and the bullet thing, he can slow it down as well...

He could be like the flash in a way if he could learn to control it enough. Out-running bullets, speedwalking by a running cheeta, drinking a slurpy while doing a jog around the indy track during the final lap, somehow beating them all.

    I would find that hilarious.

I think he actually did slow down time or something while they were in that room... cause for hiro to even get that good, he would atleast need a few hours... If I was Ando I would get antsy too...

Not necessarily decide to go and off sylar myself but you know maybee go out for a big mac or something, ogle a few cury newyork women... you know.

I generally like ando... but lately after he reunited with hiro... he's become kinda whiny and bitchy. Too much angst, not enough porno stalking.

Are you kidding me. I don't know weather your watching it right but Ando is the guy that tried to help Hero because Hero is the one who is becoming angsty and whiny. It has always been Ando who is the anchor for Hero during the adventures.

true enough... but it was better before when ando was more synical about hiro saving the world. now he's becoming agravated by hiro going into a backroom with his farther instead of going to find a way to kill sylar. deciding that he will save the world instead if hiro's not up to it.

you can't tell me that note he left wasn't a bit emo...

Uh, let's see, I'm in Ando's position. I know that I'm going to die. Do I want to die? No. I do not want to die. Will I do whatever I can to prevent it? Yes.

true enough... I'm just talking in terms of preference.

It's realistic in that sense but I prefer the old ando, thats all I'm saying.

Ando's looking out for number one is all :p. He doesn't want to die, so he's getting a bit desperate.

On a side note, since DL is dead it has been proven that the future can be changed, cause Sylar had his power during 5 Years Gone. The only way Sylar could get it now would be to find the body, examine it, and absorb the power, which would be difficult considering he's got under a day to do it.

I don't know if Papa Petrelli had a power, I reckon Linderman was just lying to get Nathan on his side some more. Though if he did have the precognitive-type dreams that Peter inherited from someone, it would explain why he went insane and killed himself. He's weak, and can't change the future, so he goes nuts and tops himself.

Holy crap. Am I the only one who picked up the massive foreshadowing about the Haitian? "No . . . he's worse." Peter could've flown by himself, methinks. He also could've picked up his telekinesis power. Too bad that Peter never picked up Linderman's ability. That would be nice. At least he can collect Micah and Molly's. Hmm . . . if any of you ship Micah/Molly, I will pull a Hiro and run you through with a sword. Perhaps that was indicative of the length of time he spent training. By the way, anyone think that Sylar is going to coming back in two "Volumes" with a massive support group, sort of the Magneto?

Looks like a new plot. In other news, the Silver Surfer looks fucking retarded and Transformers looks fucking pimp.

DL isn't dead, lo and behold. People must've voted on him not dying or some bullshit like that. WTF RICHARD ROUNDTREE, DEAD BLACK MAN? I'm thinking that perhaps the dead black man and the Haitian have something in common. And what's with all of the kids? Don't forget soccer playing indian kid. Roughly the same age. Methinks that's what Season 5 will be about. And what happened to Mama Petrelli, who appears to be the last of the "Old Crowd"?

It seemed like Peter hasn't been able to pick up any of Sylar's powers (ice hands, hearing, telekinesis, melting stuff, eidetic memory) that easily, but what DOES seem to be the case is that he needs to work on each power, like how his invisibility didn't work at first, etc.

But specifically for the flight business, I can easily imagine that Peter couldn't focus enough to both fly and not just completely detonate right there.

And I didn't pick up on the foreshadowing at all - if you're right, I owe you a Coke!

    I'm dissapointed really.

That entire sequence with everyone showing up at the end to lend a hand in the defeat of sylar seemed kinda hockey.

I wanted a actual fight between Peter and Sylar, a no holds brawl with nucular fists, ice freezing, limb choping action.

And the bit where nathan has to fly peter away... that sucked balls for me.

I'm guessing that peter can only use one power at a time or something and thats why he couldn't be all nucular and flying, but stilll that just seemed like a cheesy way to vindicate the character.

Although to throw my two cents into the mix, I'm guessing that thing thats worse than sylar that molly mentioned is actually ulura.

We haven't heard anything about that guy.

maybe he went and harvested sylar from the sewar for parts... that would be something.

I'm guessing that hiro's going to have some trouble getting back to his own time period for some time now... maybee because of the eclipse or something?

anywho... this episode was a mixed bag for me.
heres hoping season two is better though.

Uluru the rock monster? Possibly, although my cash is on the Haitian. I don't think either of them were really ready for that kind of a fight.

Jeram: That sounds like sound reasoning, although I think he picked up telekinesis briefly in his fight with Sylar. I'll have to rewatch it.

Does anyone know when Origins starts?

The truth is that Peter doesn't know how to control his powers. He "DID" pick up Sylers powers but he doesn't know how to control his powers.

I highly doubt that. Syler is just a stepping stone before the real bad guys shows up. Hell even the little girl, Molly said there is someone worse out there than syler.

And Volume 2 just started so lets see what happens. But the one thing that i am disappointed in the show is the action scenes. Sure the drama and suspance captures the audience but without realistic action where is this going to go. Especially with the last episode. I thought the two guys are going to go all out. Still, one can hope. Lets just hope volume 2 is better.

Well, Heroes isn't actually a big-budget show, so they had to make do with overly-suspenseful and tension-filled episodes. You can't expect a Matrix Revolutions style fight in a show that's only one series in.

On the other hand, the bit with Nathan/Peter doing the whole 'brotherly love' thing was very cheesy, as well as Ando telling Hiro he looked bad ass :D.

Overall, I liked it. Got a good little fight scene, despite the lack of cryokinesis :(, and a nice set-up for the next series/mini series.

You know what would've been really badass? Hiro lopping off Ando's head and secretly being Sylar. Just my opinion.

First off, Heroes has always been very well written, well thought out and has always had the future in mind during the first season. Hello Lost writers

I liked the finale, I really did. Only criticism was not the fight scene but the Nathan/Peter soppy bit. But, if they wanted the whole self sacrifice thing, that was the way to play it. I would have preferred Nathan turning up and doing something more like fighting Sylar and then taking Peter away with his dying breath.

The thing with Hiro has a lot of potential. As does the "man" she can't locate. My money was straight on the Haitian though, if he was "far worse" why would he still be working under Parkman/Petrelli in "Five Years On". Surely, he would have used the bomb to push his evil motives.

Sylar/Petrelli will have their epic fight in Season 2. When Peter has learnt his powers and Sylar has recovered. Anyone think that Peter Petrelli looked a bit like "emo" Peter Parker in the finale?

The Nikki bit was weird. Still no idea on her power. Well, super strength. She used it in jail once before I believe when she was still under "Nikki" control. Jessica seems to be gone. Just thank fuck Ali Larter isn't. Mmmmm.

Generations will obviously show the history of powers/ Nana Petrelli generation of abilities. Any guesses on the ones they'll think up next?

Well, obviously, more that has to do with dreams. Beyond that, no idea.

Here are a few from x-men.
    Magnetism
Change the body's chemistry (turn into diamonds)
Shapeshift (Maybe merged with the aforementioned)
    Electricity
    Control over the weather
Immortality (Sure you don't regenerate, but you're not gonna die.)
    Lasers or Energy Blasts
    See the Past

This is not x-men. You can't realisitically expect someone to be able to turn into diamond, even with the powers we've already seen. Actually, when you think about it, there isn't a single power that actually, physically changes people, though Sylar's original power may be on the border with that. We've got psychic control over outside influences (elemental powers, telepathy, telekinesis, etc.), but I can't really think of any that changes the person.

Magnetism is highly likely to be a power, mostly because its related to telekinesis.
Changing body chemistry may be possible, but not on the scale of changing your skin to diamond.
Shapeshifting could be possible, but more like a chameleon style power than metaporphmagus.
Control over electricity would be possible, we've already got a technopath and Wireless.
Weather control - I don't see why not, though we may have to wait a few seasons for them to get the budget for that :D.
Immortality - That's just stupid, and would completely ruin the show. Who wants an immortal bad guy? Or even an immortal good guy?
Lasers - A laser is just super-intensified light, so I assume Peter & Sylar will be able to do it because of Ted's power.
See the past is almost a certainty, we've already had a prophetic painter.

Oh, and according to the graphic novels there will be a guy with super speed :D.

they're probably is some kind of power that changes a person.

I remind everyone that they did major foreshadowing on the uluru creature. It's unlikely that the thing is really a rock monster from the centre of the earth... it was probably originally human and developed into a rock like creature later on.

They're probably going to do some kind of nightcrawler mystique like character, lots of religious undertones, shunned by society... blah blah.

Honestly though I wouldn't mind seeing that. We've had heroes who have complained about having powers, because it either causes problems(AkA ted) or they consider themselves a freak( original telekenetic guy...). If they have someone who actually has a power that seriously does them harm, like constant pain, or dissfigurement... I would look forward to that.

So far the heores are only developing cool useful abilities... evolution doesnt' just go in one direction, it takes people backwards as well.

But I'm wondering whether they will do an immortal hero... say a person like claire who managed to keep their head fropm being chopped off for two or three centuries... that would be something.

Or, a person who's just immortal. Chop off their arms and limbs and they don't grow back, but that person is still alive, regardless of how much blood he/she loses or if the head is decapitated.

Aekiel: The hearing power could very well be changing the body's internal chemistry to make it more alert to sounds.
