Saw a funny tweet re that:

'Still not as much of a ripoff as F76's sub.'

For those interested the PS4 version of Elden Ring runs at a flawless 60fps on ps5. Played for around 5 hours last night going all over the map and no hitches.

You need to either buy the ps4 disk, or get the digital version though to play it. You're SoL if you already bought the ps5 disk.

... Why would you want to though? The PS5 version runs perfectly on it. Roommate has put > 100 hours in it with no issues at all. It's gorgeous every time I look over while he plays.

Can confirm 100+ on ps5 no issues. Quality or performance settings.

From what I've heard, it's only PC that has performance issues, thanks to From just being shit at PC development.

It ran mostly solid for me, but there'd be occasional stutters/frame drops/etc where the game would freeze for a second or two and then start working fine again.

This is why i would want to.

People have different tolerances and sensitivities to fps, frame drops and stutters.

I have zero. Especially when i plan to be firing off kamehamehas and moon beams all over the place, where I'll get 1hkod if i get breathed on.

I'm not sure if @Agayek was commenting on how it ran on the PC for him or a PS5. Double checked with my roommate and he says in 140ish hours he can count on one hand the number of times the game has stuttered at all.

I only have about 20 hours on it, but the PC version has run pretty much seamlessly for me. Two frame stutters that I can remember, and both strangely outside of combat. From what I've heard it seems like people have either significant issues with it, or none.

I was talking purely PC; that's all I've played it on. Sorry if that wasn't clear. It didn't happen very often, maybe a couple times every few hours, but it happened a couple of times in boss fights and cost me the kill, so it stands out a bit.

Fun story, the current F76 iteration is an even better fallout game than F4 and F3

Lmao you sound downright offended at the idea.

Haven't played it myself, but I've heard from multiple people that after three years or whatever of continuing to work on it they did get it to a good place.

I imagine it was the punctuation between "Please" and "elaborate".

Platinumed Elden Ring (PS4 version on PS5). Installed the PS5 version for shits and giggles to see if the trophies would autopop for that version when i xferred the save (they do not btw, at least going PS4 > PS5).

I dunno wtf you guys were talking about. My save was in end-game Roundtable Hold and I immediately felt the difference. It felt clunky af. I'm not counting frames, but there's no way it's 60 - and I'm not even in combat yet.

Sensitivity to framerate issues depends from person to person. They also reveal themselves best in comparisons, so I bet going from being used to the stable 60 PS4onPS5 to trying the native PS5 is a really good way to feel them.

Genuinely no idea, maybe you're stupid sensitive, maybe yours is defective, but I watched my roommate play it for hours overall and it never looked anything but smooth. He played for around 150 hours and can count on one hand the number of times it even stuttered.

So apparently the new WoW expansion is pretty blatantly ripping their mount mechanics from Guild Wars 2, which is hilarious to me.

Don't we want them to rip good stuff? Or are you referencing some old drama?

I mean, even if they're ripping ideas, they should at least try to change it a bit. This is a textbook example of "You can copy my homework, but change it a little" and them not doing that.

I mean, even PC Gamer is kind of calling Blizzard out with this article.

If you want to try WoW: Dragonflight's new rideable dragons, just play Guild Wars 2 | PC Gamer

It's just funny because I keep coming across WoW fans that always say GW2 is trash, and a dead game. But now there's just universal praise for this new mount.
