Hey, Sarkhan didn't die! He's just injured and recovering.

Are you thinking of someone else?

Sarkhan was a vampirized Tiefling party member, whose Fiend-Undead body was destroyed by the Mace of Disruption when he and Bilbo 'dueled' to the death.

Wait I don't remember abandoning you? As I recall I had no cold weather grear so I had half movement, so I couldn't get in melee range and when you went down you were the only target in range so they finished you off.

Vash played a character named Sarkhan in my campaign with Rep as well. And there he also got back stabbed. Pure coincidence that, I'm sure.

But either I'm a much more magnanimous DM or it's because Arth has been running nothing but Strahd. But I think I've had two deaths in the same time? And both of them got resurrected.

Seems so. Our Sarkhan was rescued.

Me and Roarian, yeah. And we both came back, in my case missing a memory or two.

Nothing you might have missed was lost. Though some of it might come back to haunt you. :p

With the current Mass Effect campaign things are a bit different though. No resurrection (unless you're Shepard) means I'm pulling my punches somewhat. Or at least try and give you a valid way out (encounters on the Kaiju planet). But we'll have to wait until after tomorrows session to see if that remains true. What with you boxed into a kill zone and all that.

For the deaths in our campaign...
    • We tried to resurrect Fen's but he'd already decided on a new fun character so the rez got screwed up by DM fiat and after a long series of events Tylth became a god.
    • Bilbo very deliberately murdered Sarkhan and would have under no circumstances allowed him to be brought back.
    • Innomine's... technically we could've, but it was the end of the campaign and none of us really thought about doing so tbh. I think even if there was nothing in the game that prevented us from bringing him back, there was weight to his death, and resurrection didn't really cross any of our minds because of it.

I mean, I kind of assume that it's going to end up with Vaelion succumbing to indoctrination and killing us all...
