Sumeru exploration is 100% done, got all the non-commission rng achievements too. Took longer than I thought, tbh. That damn Aranara questline was a bit too long, and excluded any other interesting quest chain from existing. Sumeru felt like a korok region more than anything.

Honestly, Sumeru was unexpectedly good. Overall, the exploration, world design, character design, main story, the way they introduce you to characters, music... most of it felt better than Inazuma. It feels like they put some of that record profit into making the game better. And that's great.

As for Tighnari, hard pass. Way too mediocre, and I don't particularly enjoy his design and voice.

I'm pretty much saving for a Raiden and Yelan reruns.

Dendro is nice and all, but... Tighnari is pretty medium, Nilou is hyper specific bloom only comp that also wants you to pull for Kokomi and Kusanali, Cyno is basically simmed to be as good as Keqing (lol), and Dehya is probably going to be shoehorned into burning/burgeon too. Dendro made a lot of weak and fringe units more usable, which is great, but it's not super encouraging any of the new pulls from a meta perspective.

 

It's so sad because I absolutely love Nilou but Mihoyo are adamant they don't want my money. On release if you don't also pull for Toghnari you pretty much only have one flex spot and have to run Collei and Barbara (kokomi if you're lucky).

Curse you Mihoyo.

 

This game is insane and not in a good way. I always had it on my ssd and now I tried reinstalling and it requires 84GB of space. It went from 50 to 80 in what 2 months? Sadly my 120GB ssd isn't up to the task and so now I'm running it on my HDD, which is so-so, but the loading times between screens are coffee break-ish long.

On another note that r3 Memory of Dust still hurts to see in my inventory lol.

 

Tighnari... really kinda sucks.
