I’ve always thought that Inverarity coming back to continue the Alexandra Quick series with a new 289,668 word installment after an 8 year gap in writing - 12 years after posting the first chapter in the series - was inspiring AF.

 

I hope his stuff is save elsewhere, like ao3 or here? Staying on ffn after something like that is hard to understand.

 

He's crossposted the deleted content on AO3, but nothing new yet.

This is an interesting one as the author did return during the pandemic and requested some beta readers. I became one of those beta readers, and managed to get the entire story... as in the last 15 or so chapters to wrap up the story.

We gave her a huge document of what needed to be changed (which was quite a bit), and she upped and vanished again.

Sooo... not 100% sure what to do with these chapters. We recently reached out to her again. Maybe she will respond and start posting? Idk.

 

I remember seeing something on reddit recently saying Newcomb actually wrote a novel and self-published or something like that. I know they were active on this forum before, I don't know if that's still the case, but maybe someone can confirm?

 

On a selfish note, I got to read the ending to my favorite fanfic ever, so I count that as a win.
