If slash lovers can write crappy stories starring Harry and James or Draco and Lucius, I see no reason why het people like us can't take a little Harry/Lily. Draco will never get any, and it's not like Lily's the old Ginny, after all.

Smut definately isn't the greatest, but then I haven't read any truly great smut. A bit of plot and good spelling and grammar, but it could be a lot, lot better.

Overall, I'd have to go with 3.5/5.

I loved this story though, original that's for sure. I loved the quote about how it took James two minutes to get them both undressed and to get in do his business and get out. Great. 4/5

 

noooo... Not one of the better ones. Just one of the few decent ones. I suggest Oedipus Flower if you are looking for quality. The smut in it isnt the best but it isnt the focus of the story either.

Well, the writing style is nice and concise, and while the plot is kind of screwy and does seem slightly forced, it is a nice way to pass time. Like someone said before, this whole ritual business seems like just a way to get Harry and Lily in bed together- not much of a plot point there. I do like the style though, and it feels like it's only in the exposition now, with plenty of potential for more depth in the plot and for a bit more sophistication. It's a nice read though, and the smut is done quite well, though it's nothing truly amazing to speak of. I do like it though, and it seems a bit too early to be making judgments for me. For now it's about a 3/5 for the simplicity, but the clarity and sharpness of the story really make me want to think better about it- while that's what I honestly have to say about it, I can't help but think it can do better. So I'll make some final judgments after a few more chapters. Seems fine though, and it's definitely something I would recommend.

Out of curiosity, is this still going? Since chapter 9 is an note saying that he's going to slow down in favor of college, and his brisk initial updating rate makes me wonder. While a 8 month-ish absence isn't that big of a deal in the FF world, it IS summer right now, so it should stand to some reason he has at least a small bit more time. Anyone know if he ditched this in favor of dedicating his time wholly to his studies?

There was nothing good here except pairing and even smut was not that great.
Writing style and grammar (like I'd notice) were ok, so 3/5 I guess

 

This is on of the most intresting(sp?) storys that I have read it whould be nice if it was up-dated more often

 

Nice enough story. But the way all Harry/Lily pairings happens seems a lot cliched to me. Either its time travel or ritual and plotline is always absurd. I haven't yet seen a good enough story-line for this pairing so its ok i guess. the smut in story isn't the best out there, but certainly isn't worst. A nice way to spent sometime.

Dude, I'm not sure if you know this, but there's something important about Lily/Harry pairings that keeps them from being viable--and it's not the age difference, or even the incestuous undertones.

LILY'S DEAD.

Now, if you want a viable plotline to go along with that, there's not that much of a selection. Pretty much, time travel and rituals are the only ones. There is, of course, the exception of Oedipus Flower, but really, there's not much plot there--it's just an excuse for smut.

 

It's a pretty good H/Lily story.
