England receives it at midnight. When it's midnight in England, countries other than the U.S. will receive it unless they don't get the book at all. Meaning, if it's 2AM in Turkey when it's midnight in England, you get it at 2AM.

 

According to some on LJ who got their copies legally now, yeah it is.

Be kind of strange to know the book is out and spoilerable but we can't get the book until 12 midnight our time. Any sensible bookseller would let us get the books at 4:01 PM our time (I'm a Vancouverite as well)

 

I'd bet money the fake was real. Too good, too good. I kind of really don't want this book to come out. Everything here from now out is a downward slide, really. Well, I guess one could argue it started a while argue, but this is the last peak in Harry Potter popularity. From here, its only route is to fade into history/obscurity.

They are having a live reading of the book online at midnight there (less than an hour away).

 

I doubt that I'm in the exact same cubicle farm as you, Hiro.

 

Too good? The only part of it that was decent was the first 7 or 8 chapters. In the middle it was dragging on and on and the end... I have no words to describe how bad the ending was, not to mention the epilog.

 

for the sixth book, they haven't waited for it to be 2 am in turkey. that's why i post it. unfortunately, i am in a different city, one that doesn't have 7/24 open bookstores.

so, do not write without knowing.

 

It is illegal for any bookstore to sell a copy before 12:01AM in England. England receives it first. Countries may sell it while it is 12:01AM in England but they cannot sell it legally before that time.

It was that way for HBP.

 

So I'm guessing people saw the reading online... looks like the leak was real...

Most definately - I'm in the UK and started re-reading it. It's the one and the same.

 

My delusional hopes have been squashed...
