Oh, good, it's a multichapter, and complete. I was getting rather sick of reading <5000 word One-shots...

I haven't finished this story yet, but I have to warn you that it has a Harry/Ginny/Luna love triangle. So yeah...

EDIT: It also has Draco/Ginny though only in the later parts.

It's still a relatively good story, but probably too fluffy for a lot of people.

The one you suggested before? Yeah, I started reading it; not too far in - just hit chapter 4 - but I've already noticed that. So far, it doesn't look like it will be too much of a pain to deal with, though; that, and I'm rather glad that it's actually a multi-chapter. I was getting really sick of reading short one-shots. Next to no development in those...

Oh the Harry/Ginny/Luna triangle isn't bad at all. I've already completed the story and it's a pretty good read; 3.8/5. I actually rather liked it, but my biggest problem with it is that it can be a bit too fluffy at times, though it's well done fluff.

I loved that one from the first time I read it. Minus the newspaper bit, that was how I stumbled into my best girlfriend to date. One day it just happens and then you start turning everyone around you into a diabetic. I've got a secret soft spot for friends-turned-lovers stories, did even before I experienced it myself. Just a pity I suck at them so badly.

Edit; Here's another good (slightly sweet but not really sappy) story along the same lines. Missing Pieces by Emberlinn Shadowwolf

There's always the immensely odd 'Back to the Garden' by Anatosha. NC-17 H/G/L (Ginny is pretty absent though) following HBP, other pairings too numerous to mention. Very long, very well-written, the slash warning is so utterly unnecessary I can't even remember where it applied. Hermione comes across... a bit wet, and there are major roles for Ron and Draco who I know aren't popular, but overall it's a very good read and Anatosha's Luna is unique, if a little odd at first reading.

Many of Dr. T's stories are Harry/Luna or Harry/Luna+others.

One of the problems with Luna is it is rather hard to write 'crazy' as a love interest. Crazy as a secondary character is much easier. I cheated and made her 'sane' but just 'pranking' (although she may be much less sane than she believes). Dingy isn't 'hot' or 'sexy', outside of Humor, it's hard to use Harry/Luna as a couple. Most authors (myself included) will typically use Luna as a person that comes into a scene and makes several off hand comments that lighten the tone of the story. It's easy to make her steal a scene, but making her carry the scene is really tough.

MeteoricShipyards has Luna's Hubby (don't have the link handy) but it's on ff.net and ficwad I believe.

It's also a good Ravenclaw!Harry fic. And he just updated it. One of the best Luna/Harry pairings I've read, and believe me I look for them!

Dr. T's H/L stories are pretty good as well if you don't mind the obscene use of OC's. Almost all his stories have at least one (or more) OC show up to train Harry. On the plus side, all his stories are well written (no grammar or spelling errors).

I got to Chapter 2 of 'Luna's hubby' but then the author went the whole soul bond route and I think I'm gonna stop reading. I swear to you all, I just sat there for two minutes of my life whining out loud aboyut why the fuck the author had to use a vow/bond thing. It's not that great of a plot device!

...In all reality, that whole Soul Bond thing, in 'Luna's Hubby' is a crutch and nothing more. There are absolutely no "benefits" to it; about all that actually comes from it is the knowledge that, if Harry or Luna decide to break the vow for whatever reason, they become squibs. That's all that comes from it, at least so far.

Ahem. First off, it's Soul Bond, capitalized as in Saddam, the Seatbelts, and Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer.

Second off, Soul Bonds work, provided you attach them to someone interesting. Take Molly, for instance...

Well, I myself quite enjoyed Luna's Hubby, and Fate's Gambit. However, Fate's Gambit is a three person relationship, with Hermione as well.

    http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5210983/1/ - Fate's Gambit

    http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5345583/1/ - FG2 - The Trio hit Hogwarts (uncomplete)

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5284129/1/ - Harry Potter's Discovery (This is a Naruto crossover, but I had never gone anywhere near Naruto and could still understand the story.)

    http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2919503/1/ - Luna's Hubby

    http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2368081/18/Harry_Potter_and_the_Sword_of_Astragal

None of the above are one-shots, and are at least 20000 words. They're very good, however, I wish there were more Harry/Luna writers.

That Naruto crossover was this hideous story where Neville learns Deidara's techniques and such, no? That was a prime example for a badly written and illogical crossover.
