The account wasn’t created to step on anyone’s toes, nor to replace the C2s, but to give more sorting options (recently updated, reviews, etc.) Since nonjon suggested it, and said it was going to be unofficial, I figured it was okay. Either way, I’ve stopped adding stories to it as of now, and will delete it if you guys want me to.

Yes. Last goddamn thing we need is more spam email.

I think you are the only one who maintains the DLP c2's, correct me if I am wrong, but whats the harm in making the account to allow users easier sorting options for sorting fics?

Well, yes, it was a bad idea to suggest reader might pm admins and mods and explicitly list them, but that's it. Xiph0, you aren't even on that list.

Apart from that the only question is if Lorelei is allowed to call it DLP-Library. Nobody can forbid her to create an account and add random fics to her fav-list except the authors.

I'm not in the Profile list, but one of my fics was added to the Fav Stories, which did email.

I'm not. Indy/AU and Comedy(Mine) are all up to date as of this post, and I've PMed the other managers to check in.

Thanks for clearing that up, but who maintains the other ones? Are they even still active on this site? Just curious

I'll maintain a Category of stories if needed. I got plenty of time to do it.

Where's this redonkulous anger coming from? This isn't anything I asked other staff about or even claimed was something official or to be associated with DLP. I just suggested it to see if anyone would.

C2's are good for being notified of new fics added to the library. And you can sort them by updated. They're very limited beyond that. And the DLP ones are broken down by section, which can be as detrimental as it is useful. A listing in a user favorites offers a half dozen better ways to sort the list (like by those marked completed for instance). There's no easy way to get alerts when a user adds a favorite, so it's not even really replicating the primary useful aspect of the C2 groups.

If you've got your ff.net account set to alert you when you get favorited, you can't blame someone for that. There's no spam. Pretend that account's name is Bob for second. No one here can police what favorites Bob puts on his account. And if it just happens to get hundreds and hundreds of fics and essentially mirror those fics from the DLP library that are on ff.net, so what?

That it does, but it's also limited in so far as you can only have xx amount of favorites (100 something) before you need a new account.

If Lorlei wants to make accounts for each of the sections and add them all, then great, let her waste her time. I'm sure 1 or 2 people might find it useful and justify the work.

However, her idea of putting it all in the profile info kills the "Oooo features" idea dead. There's already Kate's list and the C2's to do that.

Actually, the reason I decided to do it was because it was discovered that you can have 600+ favorites. That account has more then 200 now. The links listed in the profile are offsite links. It is a bit useless to list them there, yeah, considering why it was created in the first place, but I figured there might as well be another place where you can find all the fics since it doesn't take that long.

Edit: I changed the name of the account, mainly because the reason I made it was to make navigating the library easier for me and I'd still like to use it, and deleted the profile. It might take a while to show up, though.

Lorelei, how can you beat the 150 limit? I've never been able to. That would be awesome.
