In response to the infuriating cell phone commercial with the impotent mother and text-speaking, preteen whore of a daughter.

 

I fucking hate that commercial.

 

Every time I see that fucking commercial, I thank god that I have more than 10 brain cells left. I hate it when people talk like that.

 

I just hate text messaging in general. I may be over-simplifying, but to quote Gin Rumy from The Boondocks, "Why would you spend 5 minutes typing something out with your thumbs when it would take 5 seconds to call them and tell them the same thing?"

 

I use it mainly in school, to tell friends who are across campus to meet me during the passing period, etc. But I honestly don't understand people who use it as anything else.

 

I use it when I'm not sure if my friends are at work, in a meeting, etc. Anytime I'm in a situation where I can't really talk on the phone, but still need to get in contact with someone is when I text message. Mostly I stick to just a quick call though.
