I'll say this beforehand--Echoes of Power has been one of my favorites for a while now. I am not afflicted by a deep hatred for Ginny, and as this one is not terribly in canon, I will even go so far as to say that I crave updates of this story.

Did this same thing not happen with Kinsfire? He decided to say something stupid about DLP and we walked over and shit down his throat for it? For some reason, I'm having the most unending urge to go do that just now. I'd like to have some support when I find some random reason to get his account banned. Damn, this was my 500th post, too. I guess a lulzy topic is worth it, though.

The story isn't bad, but I think that guy is just ass backwards on how he views DLP. He obviously doesn't like the site, so he stereotypes all DLP users with all the cliches of an "internet nerd/otaku with no friends" like it's the definitive truth. He could have just said he didn't like the users views on HP, which would have made sense and not made him look like a child making ridiculous insinuations.

Granted, a lot of us here probably do play games and enjoy anime and manga, but I've never seen anyone here claiming to be a Nippon encyclopedia because of this.

I don't disagree with one thing the author said. You can't expect the author of anything to change for a specific group of people if the author in question is any author at all.

However, I'm certainly not a manga-reading prepubescent boy. And saying we're all "impaired mentally" is insane, as we're one of the few sites that upholds high standards in fanfiction. This person has some issues.

And anyone who wastes that much space on an author's note kind of deserves to die. Nothing she (or he?) said bothered me as much as the space used to say it. I hate reading those damn things.

Who in their right frame of mind would review an author and ask them to change their story outline in order to join a simple website? I wouldn't want to join us either if the only member I knew asked me to change my views for no reason whatsoever.

I like his insults. I read manga so I know everything about japanese culture, lots of lulz there. I don't know enough about my own culture, let alone someone elses.

Secondly I don’t read comics or manga (anime isn’t comics you stupid bint, I don’t even watch it and I know that). The only basis for understand of martial arts and Japan I have are Kill Bill Volumes 1 and 2 as well as my uncle who spend 10 years in Japan training as a Ninja. Aside from Japan and martial arts, yes I do know everything about life in general. I did not however learn this from watching anime, reading manga.

I did learn rather a lot about if through playing games though. May I recommend Find-the-Sausage? It really is quiet informative.

You’re really rather close to the mark here. I was actually incapable of reading anything until the end of 3rd grade. Please bear in mind that I did 2nd grade twice. Now not only can I read, but I also have proven myself able to comprehend what I am reading. The way I gauge this is that I can successfully write a paper on a work of literature. No only can I do that, but I have been know to, on the rare occasion, converse intelligently about what I have read as well.

I am full of my own importance and ego, I can not argue that. You would be to if you were as wonderful as I. You are not. Let us assume that doing moderately well in America’s education system proves that you are not impaired mentally on an academic level. If that is the case, then you must except that I am not. I can interact rather well socially, though I don’t always care…so I’m not mentally impaired on that front. On the moral level I will admit to getting the short stick.

Okay. I won’t. You should really consider dropping the H/G aspect of your story so you can post at DLP. As it isn’t a crappy site, I will assume that you don’t mind me expecting you to alter your story for the privilege of posting there.

Wait, one notch DOWN the scale? No way. Watching anime/reading manga is nowhere near as "lame" as fanfiction. At least, not at my school. I live in suburban America, and kids read manga all the time, in class, in hallways, wherever.

We should flame the hell out of the author.
