Damn, this thread is so old, but I don't want to create another. Just thought I'd be a douche and point out that the author left another A/N rant about DLP and also referred to Lord Ravelclaw by name. He said we are amateurish criticizers Chapter 26 at the bottom is the AN.

I know, curse me for bring it back up when it had died, but I just couldn't resist

It would be a reasonable flame, if his story didn't suck as much as it does.

I mean, it doesn't even suck just because it's H/G. I can read H/G. This sucks because it's cliche, unrealistic, predictable, painful to read in terms of obvious set-up scenarios that the autho rhas constructed, full of fluff and wish-fulfillment by the author.

He's far better at writing flames than he is at writing stories.

Anyhow, he's probably bringing it up to stir some more reviews. The only thing I do agree with him is the Anakin/Burning House thing we have going up top. It's sort of overdramatic.

I gathered from his new A/N, which he probably spent more time writting then he did with the actual chapter, that he is just like every other PhD that I know. A self-centered, egotistical, got-to-have-it-my-way, everyone-else-is-below-me prick. If this is the case, and I can see no reason why it is not, then why is he even bothering to make mention of us? It simply goes to show that he is just as prepubescent as the rest of us! And his bit to Ravenclaw proves just as much of self-center, etc. person that he really is. That reply was very diplomatic, the one made by Ravenclaw, and he goes and rips it to shreds.

If that guy was half as good at writing fics as he was at writing a rant, his stuff would be fucking epic.

As it is, he's just really, really good at defending his steaming pile of crap.

Also, the guy's an utter moron. He constantly brings up his PhD in whatever-the-fuck-he-does as a basis for him being a "good writer". I've worked with many of these guys before, and while they're geniuses in their respective fields the vast majority of the time they can't write for shit. Thesis writing/peer-review journals are the AIDS of literature: dry as a bone, chockful of archaic, stilted English, and painful to read if you don't know the subject matter inside-out.

It's doubtful whether he's even an almighty professor or whatever he claims to be, if he doesn't know something this basic.

It's cute how he tries to sound superior by referencing something he has no fucking clue about, though.

 

There's no way this guy's bio is true.

 

After reading the reviews later for chapter 26, I gather there is an unorganized anti-DLP community out there, centered around this guy.

I have not read the story yet, but based on his fanbase I gather he catters(sp?) to the fangirl community of prepubescents.

One thing he said offended me, his insinuation that we gay/jew bash. Now, I may be mistaken, but I never got the impression from other members at this site that we are anti-homosexual. We simply do not find slash interesting as others do within the basis of literature.
