Yeah it disgusted me to, slash (with snape no less) and he is a mute, sounds alot more like rape than this "respect and attraction" bullshit.

Indeed. Fangirl writers will never cease to astound me. Who would have ever thought to use Genital Herpes for a Harry Potter fanfiction as a plot device if not a slash fangirl?

This must be made of pure win. I'm laughing my as off just with the summary.

Yeah, I can imagine; "Come Harry, Daddy Severus is going to make you scream" Urgh...

 

Funny coincidence: Yesterday night I was browsing some sites for disabled!Harry fics, and nearly all are slash-fics - Harry/Draco or Harry/Snape.

Nearly all means: About 50 except four or five.

 

Why would you look for Disabled!Harry? I like stories where my protagonist is actually able to walk, thank you.

 

It's a good fix for all your angst needs. Unfortunately, angst often means slash in this case.

 

'Cause I was interested how different authors deal with the theme. I barely glimpsed at some slash fics, and looked into the rare non-slash fics:
Slash fics indeed use it just for angsty hurt/comfort including betrayal by the friends, etc, and that's it.

Most authors pull some deux ex machina overcoming the problems caused by the disability - i.e. some mind-reading abilities for deaf, special mage-sight to allow a blind to see magic (intended to be even more supercool than Mad-Eye's eye) ... and from one chapter to the next the problem is almost nonexistent. Of course that's also "the power he knows not".

Only few really try to deal with the problems caused by the disability.

One story, abandoned long ago, has an 11 year old deaf!Harry who has also problems to articulate (thus serious problems to practice verbal magic) but a better sense of smell so he seems to become focussed on potions ... probably including some Snape-bonding later on.

Two fics by Solstice Muse with mute!Ron and translator!Harry tried to describe the problems a mute wizard has in a society based on wand wielding with spoken incantations, even though he is quite good at non-verbal magic.

The "Summary inside" is actually short enough to post it as regular summary. But thus she is able to lure innocent readers either to her youtube account or even inside the story - which btw is unreadable as she posted it centered.

Hahaha. One thing I didn't catch on to is that the romantic pairing is Dracula/Hermione (to go with Harry/Ginny). I just thought it was Vamp!Herman maybe taking the name.
