I saw that. I wonder what compells people to write weird stuff like that. It's always seemed to me that the point of fanfiction would be to take established characters and put them in new situations and take it from there. Then we have stories like that, where a writer takes those characters and warps them out of all recognition and then stabs hot pokers through my eyes.

The author runs out of ideas and puts the story on hiatus.

Fucking hate it. I hate when a vast and relatively unexplored world with little plot and shit loads of characters (perfect fanfic material) gets all shit fics.

The author runs out of ideas and puts the story on hiatus.

Now replace XXXX with random!fanboy/girl/neuter’s favourite character. It should work with all fandoms.

If it hasn’t happened yet, someone could write a small computer script to create random fanfics by using this lines. But I believe it already has been done.

I just noticed nowadays DebsThe... has beta-readers editing his stuff and the worst stories have been deleted. It seems whoever wrote the script creating the shit realised his computer sucks at English.

 

The conspiracy runs deeper than I imagined... writing by a formula is ok if you just follow the structure, but the stories almost have no plot, and are rife with contradictions.

The "I-was-abused-for-five-years-so-I-know-pain" things royally pisses me off. Sasuke is a prick when he's 12. Malfoy is a prick when he's 11. But they're still 11/12. Naruto/Harry has no reason to randomly "Bump them down a few notches" and then act like he didn't have his ass spoiled during his little "you must reform" speech.

 

I remember this one that had harry raised by some guy called 'dragon' with an adoptive sister. They both knew more magic than everyone at Hogwarts put together and had multiple black belts and were allowed to walk around with switch blades. No wands though. Only backwards Brits needed those.

Harry also had wolverine blades in his wrists and shredded that darn troll like nothing. At 11.

 

Sounds like something Stained_Future would write.
