Back on topic I don't like the whole nick name thing when they are unoriginal. For instance "Prongs Jr", "Pronglet" etc. If it's an original one then I don't really mind.

 

I generally hate all nicknames fandom has come up with, but "Pronglet" in particular makes me cringe and feel like bitchslapping the author. Any Harry that allows himself to be called by this "nickname" without cursing the person - be it Remus or Sirius - who addresses him as such to oblivion and back deserves to be bitchslapped too.

During one scene, in a Harry/Luna story, Luna says that great truths can be found in anagrams and points out that her name can be scrambled to spell 'Vague, old loon' and Harry's name, when the letters are rearranged, spells out 'That rare joy, sperm.'
