I've played the single-player demo, and the game is great. Only problem is, the demo is way too short. You can start with either Marksman or Guardian (I think). I'll probably buy the game.

 

Well here's what I've found out so far.

I liked the marksman. But. Once you get out of the early levels, like the 3rd major mission you go on, things open up into larger areas, and you get mobbed by 10-20 monsters pretty quick.

Marksmen can aquire a badass area of effect weapon like I have a pic of earlier in this thread, but they simply cannot take the hits required to use it. Yeah you can run and go, but you progress slowly, boss monsters beat your ass unless you kite them and wear them down.

Guardians... yuuuummmmmm. I took this guardian from 1-12 in the amount of time it took my marks to get from 1 to 7. He absolutely destroys groups of shit. I have a video that I'll try to edit down to under 300 mb, of me walking into a room of around 50 monsters, standing in the middle of it, and wtf OWNING the room.

Guardians have auras that either heal you/decrease damage/hurt monsters a certain % for each monster inside a certain radius of you. When properly utilized, along with another buff that acts as a very, very strong shield, with another spell that upps your damage, you become a wrecking machine. It requires alot of button mashing, but you become death.

Blademasters are supposed to be even more lethal, but at the expense of self-healing and tanking large amounts

 

Yeah... I started off with a Blademaster and then migrated to the Marksmen. In the first little area of the game with the idiotic little tutorial when you first meet Rumor or whatever his name was, I had already reached level two with the Blademaster.

it took me up to going to killing whatever had Ward's peg leg with the bladmaster.

Not tried a Guardian yet. I think I might after hearing this. o.o

 

I just tried out the demo, it was really fun, but it was like the game was laughing at me, cause when I was playing Blademaster I kept finding legendary guns and shit, and when I played Marksman I kept finding legendary swords...

 

Yeah I noticed that in the beta. When the game goes live you have access to account wide stashes anyhow, so it's not as annoying. The bosses tend to drop gear designed for your class though.

Servers are live, if you had a beta account but not the retail game yet, you can log in under Beta info and your characters will transfer over when you get the box.

1 is going up for sale shortly. I figured I'd mention it here before I stuck it on ebay later. I've seen 20 collector's editions on their boards go for 80 bucks.

I went out to Best Buy and snagged 1/2 of thier allotment, then I asked for more and found out they only have 10 more... in the state.

Walmart doesn't have them in store, Gamestop doesn't either in the state of NC.

Someone make me an offer here and I'll let it go for 70 plus shipping.

 

LOL. Gamestop here only had the one I bought. They got one per store, and there are only two in town. Walrmart doesnt have it, and neither does Game Crazy, the Hollywood Video game store.

Nothing at the moment. I just installed it and havent gotten around to playing retail yet.

Got a copy of Clive Barker's Jericho. Its one of those games that are only kind of average, but is actually kinda cool. Script is lawlishly bad at times though.
