No offense, but I think you are rather pathetic if you want Shezza to hook Harry up with his sort of, imaginary friend, rather than a real girl.

Let's see. Meciel is not a part of Harry, right? She's only renting a part of his brain! What Harry sees as Meciel is an illusion. What it isn't is his own imagination. He isn't imagining this, Meciel is feeding his optic/etc nerves with her image. He isn't making up an imaginary girl he can shack up with.

Also, as I said, Meciel is a quite separate entity with her own agenda, own emotions, own mind (not brain). So the only problem you could have with her that I can see is that she isn't flesh and blood (i.e. a separate body). So if somehow her essence could be transferred to another body, she'd be girlfriend material?

The only difference between us that I can see is that I've always thought of Lash (and Meciel by association) in Dresdenverse as a badass fallen angel who'd been kicked out of the world by God , not a figment of Dresden's imagination. I wasn't alone in this. I would've thought that my last post : "It's all about how his brain interprets the sensory information. And if Meciel hijacks his nerves halfway to his brain, what of it?" would've cleared it up. I'm sorry if I hadn't been clear.

The sad news is, Shezza already has plans ready for the next 10-15 chapters. And the 'ship question would probably be resolved by then... so no more H/M pleas... Oh well. H/A wouldn't be that bad. Amanda is good-looking, right? Though maybe a little lacking in badass-ness departments... I just wanted a fic that had Harry with a badass girlfriend who wasn't a Mary-Sue...

I liked the first DR story... this one just builds on it's greatness.

5 stars. Though I still spot some word misplaces/substitutions/repeats and use of incorrect homophones here and there.

 

And Potter still doesn't know about his goblin bank account.

It's mildly amusing. You think it's pathetic that people want Harry to hook up with an entity that exists solely in his own mind. Yet, you don't have any problems caring about who a character that exists solely within our own minds hooks up with in the first place?

Meciel has her own thoughts, personality, and can affect Harry's sensations and emotions as easily as any girl with her own body. She's a definite possibility, and far from what an imaginary friend is. Not that I myself am hoping for Harry/Meciel. Given the current situation, any true relationship between Harry and Meciel could never be one of equals, simply because of what she is.

As to the story, as usual an excellent chapter with only very minor problems. I find myself wishing Harry was a bit more adept at True magic. Not super, of course, but enough so that he could use it on his own.

Shezza is so full of win that he has to reduce the amount of it in his body to a manageable level by producing stories that are themselves full of win. Any bullet, knife, sharp object, or indeed anything else that can be used to kill a human being would disintegrate as soon as they get within 10 feet of him.

 

Might make cooking dinner a bit difficult then... What with the knives being quite useful in that regard.

Still, 'tis a good fic... ok, great fic, and I'm gonna follow it til death or descent.
