I'm going to be on pretty much all day today, though I crash every hour and a half-two hours, so if I'm not on wait a few minutes and try again.

 

It might be a while until I can manage to play this. The installation wasn't working and I was getting an error message. I took the advice of people on some random forums and updated my CD drivers. Unfortunately I didn't take out the CD and now the drive itself doesn't work. I'm in the process of scouring the house for a paperclip so I can forcibly eject the CD.

Yeah... I thought they were stopping the offer for Founders Subs on the 30th. Oh well.... Figured out im a little short anyway.

 

Had to install it on my brother's computer, so I'll be on less frequently than I'd like. I've played a few hours, and I love it, though everything seems to be really focused on Blademasters and Guardians, while I'm stuck with my Engineer.

For some reason it won't allow me to log onto Shulgoth, only the EU server which I've forgotten the name of. Anyone know how I can fix this?

 

Ah I think you're right my bad.

Reflash your drive to fix it, if I understand what you said, you flashed/updated your drive directly, usually a mistake to make unless it's something like a lightscribe/cd labeler, they're almost always fine no matter what right out of the box.


Make sure on the log in screen where you enter your username, you check the box that says something like view all, or see all, whatever servers, click the drop down box, select Shulgoth.

As for it being centric, it's not, it's just that the classes seem to get alot of items geared to other classes, I'm assuming it's to foster a world economy. An auction house is supposed to be going in shortly.

Does anyone else get a "network error" message pop up when they click on multiplayer. It doesn't seem to affect my gameplay at all but I was wondering if anybody knew what it was for. It comes up before I log in.

 

I get that everytime, don't see a difference when im playing, on a side note I found my first legendary item.

 

I think they said it's from them trying to jump the gun and get connected faster by preloading some things

 

Figured out the problem for Shulgoth. I needed an American account, according to the Hellgate FAQ. I've still got the broken drive, but my brother sent me the Hellgate folder along our shared connection so now I can play it on my computer. All settings to low except medium texture and I'm still lagging.

Is it just random finding secret passages? What do they look like if you do find them?

 

They are based on the +luck stat, and they look like either a metal trap-door thing, a hellrift, or a tube-tunnel thing, they show up on the map so they're easy to find.

 

Yeah, I just found one. Really obvious when I did find it. Now I'm stuck behind an invincible demon. Any advice on how to get out except exiting and re-entering?
