I know I'm interrupting interesting discussion, but some one has to write a story based on this plot bunny. Colin Scabbers Potter, the forth and less notable of the Potter children. The hilarity ensues...

But back to the subject at hand, the two things that erked me most about series is the fact that Harry never opens a book or trains, and that his love life, despite being devilishly handsome, rich and famous, consists of two bitches.

And over all the worst scene is Ron/Lavender; the fact that the sidekick is getting more love than the hero just pisses me off.

    Colin Scabbers Potter!!!!!!!

The new dark lord......whose voyeuristic tendencies put paparazzi to shame... the dark lord prowls with a camera stuffed up his snout... A new scandal erupts in every wizarding family everyday........

Man that would have been so awesome...

After that pathetic attempt at humour...

Seriously this all goes on to show how pissed off many fans were at the series and the crap-ilogue also known as the epitaph. But then she wouldn't care would she?

To take it by the numbers, sadly most fans were wetting themselves over the epilogue.

So I am sure JKR is very pleased with herself.

However, we must consider that the majority is by definition filled with imbeciles.

Judging by all the reviews praising bad fanfiction to the skies, does it really come as a surprise that 90% of fandom liked the epilogue. And of those that don't, about 9% disliked it only due to a hatred of the canon pairings eg. Harmony, HONKS and H/Luna fans.

Also, when did Ron ever "sleep around" with Lavender? All he got was snogs here and there. While I generally think there is much potential in Lavender being a prospective love interest for Harry in fanfiction, which is something I'd really love to see done well, I think that even if she had suffered a momentary lapse in sanity in HBP, surely she is not that addled to have slept with the traitorous scum.

Speaking of which, that must be what happened to Hermione. All the stress that comes from standing by Harry's side and trying to keep his useless arse alive, as well as her perfectionist attitude, must have finally cracked her. Why else would a smart girl like her want to date someone like Ron.

Oh, and Goofy, my memory must be a little rusty, but since when did JKR write Ginny to be smarter than Hermione? While I generally like Hermione's character, I too have to admit she is more often than not the be all, and end all character in the HP universe. Ginny, while being nothing more than a gorgeous, determined, and all-around awesome Mary-Sue, has never exactly been written to be particularly intelligent.

You know what Harry never stopped to consider? It is good, common sense, before marrying a girl, take a peek look at her mother. If said woman has grown to have hips that can't fit through a regular bathroom door, keep looking.

There is the remote chance that your potential wife will grow into her ''womanly curves'' by the age of 40, and you will be cursing your life away.

I don't know, despite the supposed awesomeness of Ginny, I never pictured her attractive in my mind while reading the books. Bonnie Wright may have contributed, but freckles don't work for me anyhow.

It was more the hinting at it from J.K.R. One example is when Ginny tells off Hermione to the point where Hermione can't even respond properly (about the Quidditch ordeal).

Another is how everyone mentions how great she is at hexing people (Fred & George, Ron, Harry, etc.). And we all know from previous readings that the only people who are excellent in their wand work are usually intelligent. Ginny has contradicted this. But Rowling, with her delusional mindset, wants us to believe that Ginny is clever enough to be a danger.

Anyway, I must mention why no one has brought up the annoyance of how Hermione was tortured by Bellatrix, a Cruciatus Prodigy, nine times, yet Hermione wasn't affected. At all. I was expecting her to go batshit insane after that incident...

To go insane you have to be sane first, and since the girl is actually friends with Ginny Weasley and loves Ron Weasley ... well, I don't have to say anything else, do I?

    - Molly Weasley outduelling Bellatrix. Seriously, what was JKR smoking when she wrote that?

    - The epilogue. It's pointless and it ruins what was left of canon...

    - When Harry drops the Ressurection Stone/repairs his old wand with the Elder Wand. Damn, he could be the Master of Death, but noooo, he likes being the average goody-two-shoes...

Well JKR had to show that Harry was bollocks without Hermione and so all that stuff about her doing most of the magic, her apparating them about when Harry had apparated himself and Dumbledore across the flipping country, that pissed me off so much, but I supposed that soothed JKRs fucking big ego, after all she's claimed that Hermione is a manifestation of herself innit? No wonder she married Ron Weasley, more easy to control.

Reading all this makes me very happy that I never got past chapter 2 in the last book.

Most horrible scence hands down (besides the epilogue....) was lovesick!Snape's pensieve memories. I mean honestly, his death sucked too, at the end of HPB he was a bad ass Death Eater who killed Dumbledore. But then J.K. went back and made him some useless puppet that did it for the love he had for Lily...made me want to stab myself in the eye rather than read it again.

Saying epilogue is useless at this point. I also fully agree with Snape's pensieve memories, even though I was almost finished with the book I almost stopped reading. But I think the worst, most glaring part that firmly convinced me of the suck that was to come was Harry getting his nose broken by Malfoy on the train in HBP. Come on, he had an invisibility cloak, and it's malfoy. And then, to top off the fail that was Harry at this point, he was rescued by a Tonks that was such a pain to read after the awesome character she was in Ootp. Terrible.

I agree .. Tonks character in HBP was nood so good achieved .. probabily thats why JK killed her off in DH ... The whole book was a disapointmant ... i mean .. harry is doing nothing in this book alone ... the final battel sucks real hard !! i mean .. i was expecting a cool duel from harry and LV .. but that never came ... just an AK and a disarming spell .. Giiii it was like a book for Firsties :) ... and the worst scene of the book is when RON and Hermione kiss ... i just wanted to stop reading right there

Lol there are so many bad scenes in that book its unbelievable. where do you start?

1-The Epilogue which quite literally made me barf
2-Molly Weasley killing Bellatrix Lestrange in the duel
    3-Snape's memories are a must
4-Hermione explaining at the Borrow how she so cleverly retrieved the books from Dumbledore's study. Using a simple summoning charm, that just threw me off. Wtf? I am pretty sure Dumbledore would have spells preventing his books from being simply summoned.

I agree with all of these
1-Come on Ablus Severus, hell he might as well name his daughter Hedwig Nymphadora
2-I thought Bellatrix was the most feared woman in the country wtf?
3-Snapes memories yeah he really loved Lily, he got her killed and he mind raped her son wow.
4-Yes the greatest wizard of the age doesnt have his shit protected or warded or what not, yeah real smooth jkr

Agreed, it just defies all sense of logic. Well that and Albus Severus.

    Followed closely by Snape's redemption.

I absolutely hated Hermione's bag that could fit everything in the universe and more. In general, the series should've been named after her if she was going to do everything except cast Expelliarmus at Voldemort to win.

However, the scene that made me cringe the most of all in the whole series was when Ron and Harry found Ginny and Dean together; the "monster in Harry's chest" was simply painful. Never before had there been a single word indicating his attraction to Ginny, and bam, suddenly she's a goddess.

It's a shame that the final book didn't have that same spark or twists as the other books had. Everything was too predictable. There are lots of parts in the last two books I absolutely hated and most of them have already been said. The whole epilogue, Molly killing Bellatrix, Ginny suddenly becoming beautiful, the whole final fight scene, Hermione's whole relationship with Ron and how Harry refused to get angry at Dumbledore over what he had done.
    But the things that really pissed me off was;
    1. Ron speaking parseltongue. I've read fanfics where this kind of shit has happened and never in a million years did I imagine that JK would use this lame idea.
    2. Hermione becoming the main character of the stories just because she's smart. It disappointed me that Harry did nothing exceptional in the last book but Hermione kept coming up with idea after idea.
    3. Neville suddenly becoming this powerful leader. I personally don't like Neville so it was very annoying reading about how he's suddenly become a leader of Hogwarts. To be fair though he was more of a leader then Harry
    4. Another thing that annoyed me was Peter's death. I was expecting him to at least take someone like Remus, Tonks or one of the Weasleys with him, but to just kill himself for no real reason just annoyed me. It's a shame he died like this, because even though most people hated him he was a key character in the story. It's his fault the Potters died and he resurrected Voldemort so he should've had a bigger death.
I hated lots of other scenes but i'd better stop now or i could be at this all night
