Well, they already have four for certain:

- Ichibi (Gaara, captured by Deidara)
- Nibi (Yugito, captured by Kakuzu and Hidan)
- Sanbi (captured by Deidara and Tobi)
- Yonbi (some old guy, captured by Kisame and Itachi)

To be 100% sure of the number, you'd have to look at that gigantic statue thingy to see how many of its 'eyes' are open... (at least I think that's how it worked; for every bijuu they get, one eye opens...?)

 

I thought they already got 7. At least, there was this one chapter (shamefully, I don't remember which one) with them (I don't remember if it was Deidara or Kisame) saying that there were only two remaining...

 

A quick search on Wikipedia reveals: They possess seven of the nine tailed beasts: Shukaku, the one-tailed beast; the two-tailed demon cat; the three-tailed beast; the four-tailed beast; and three other unknown beasts. All seven of these tailed beasts have been extracted and sealed. Pain claims that when all nine beasts are sealed, he will be able to create a jutsu powerful enough to instantly wipe out a country.

 

Well, I for one hope Jiraiya dies.

4/5Tailed Naruto V Crazy-CS-Sasuke - No real winner
Madara comes and suppresses Kyuubi completely, wtf!pwns the CS.
Naruto + Sasuke v Madara - No real winner
Sakura arrives on the scene, heals the injured Naruto while Sasuke holds Madara off in Sharingan world.
Sasuke gets killed.
Naruto, in anger but without Kyuubi, kills Madara with minimal help from Sakura.

Cue credits and Naruto gazing at Sasuke's name on the memorial stone.

What do you guys think?

Isn't the whole point for naruto being trained so that he doesn't rely on the foxs power?

Besides, no way he ain't gonna die. He still hasn't told the secret yet....So he escaped, leaving the country with a hares breath, knowing his identity. But thats just my estimation.

 

Logrus mage, I don't think your prediction is at all credible, and I don't want Jiraiya to die, but I see no way for him to survive either. There is no way to predict what will happen in Naruto, simply because Kishimoto is a fuckin nutcase. If you didn't know before, one look at the bald thingy-guy above is enough.

However, your prediction sounds more plausible than others I've heard. A friend of mine swore up and down that Pein was Naruto from the future, and now he's saying Itachi is good and it was Madara who slaughtered the Uchiwa.

 

Lorgrus is probably exactly right with his prediction. The only thing I can think to add is Sasuke kicking Naruto's ass in the tailed vs. CS fight. This is because Kishimoto has unofficially renamed this manga Sasuke, and for some reason the Sharigan has the power to suppress the Kyuubi (<--GAY). And Jiraiya is 100% guaranteed to die in my mind, not that I want him to.

I have a question, and I don't know if anyone answered it in previous posts. What the hell was the point of the 2 1/2 year training trip? Naruto didn't accomplish anything. All he got was a larger rasengan, and maybe a little physical workout. WTF? Then even after he's made his "ultimate rasengan", Jiraiya busts out with a move called... who 'da thunk it Ultimate Rasengan. And it's a fucking spirit bomb. Can you say DBZ rip off. Am I the only one that finds Naruto's training questionable?

 

Kishimoto isn't known for his creativity in attack creation. Have you noticed the orange and blue jumpsuit? The spiked blond hair? Basically half the plot?

Naruto = DBZ with ninjas.

However, I love DBZ, it was my childhood, so I could care less.

As for Jiraiya dieing, he could very well live. Kishimoto has killed what... three semi-major characters?

 

I have no problem with DBZ. In fact it is what introduced me to the world of anime. I was saying that Naruto was becoming a crappy rip off of a great anime. And in retrospect even though I wish Jiraiya wouldn't die because he is the one character who hasn't been ruined for me in this anime, I want him to die. If he lives, there better be some damn good reasoning behind it.

They've all had "almost dead but not quite" experiences, and none of them have had a later purpose.

I swear to God Gaara had better show up again at some point. Kishi just caters to his fanbase a bit too much.

 

QFT. He proved it when he confronted Deidara VS Sasuke. Wasn't it just plain coincidence that just then, the popularity polls came out with Sasuke as the most popular character followed by Deidara? Hell, the whole fight is pure fanservice.

Talking about useless characters, enter Hebi Team, created just to show the youngest Uchiha in a new cool pose a bit more. Weren't they supposed to help track and kill Itachi? Weren't their abilities supposed to be useful?

 

So there's a prophecy about Naruto? How original.

Am I the only one disappointed by Kushina? Jiraiya said Naruto has her personality, but I couldn't see the resemblance at all.

Completely true, but didn't the Sound Four actually die? I haven't seen them anywhere else.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they died... If they didn't, which episode did they re-appear in, 'cause I must have skipped that one.

 

I am pretty content with how PTS has gone, story wise. However, the power differential between certain characters (Naruto/Sasuke) leaves me feeling disappointed. Deep down I know that Naruto is going to get some kind of odd power up, hopefully coming in the form of Yondaime's teleportation jutsu, though most likely going to be that Ying Yang talk about Kyuubi's chakra.

This probably won't happen, but I am hoping that Naruto gets taken to the great sage toad and the toads teach Naruto all the toad jutsu we have seen Jiraiya use.

As for what's happening now, Jiraiya is most likely going to die (if he hasn't already). I am guessing he is going to make it back to Konoha first to give some message for Naruto and so Tsunade can cry over his corpse.

I don't think Itachi is going to die. I don't know if Kishi has it in him to kill off two major characters in such a close proximity. Most likely, and what I hope happens, Itachi will be going to give the killing blow to Sasuke when he is stopped by someone. The person turns around and says some shit like "Sorry, Itachi, but only I can kill Sasuke," and the person turns around revealing Kabuchimaru (Kabuto/Orochimaru combo if you didn't pick that up)
