Abondoned? Bad grammer? Oh, you mean bad grammar. When you are talking about bad grammar, you just might want to make sure you know how to spell 'grammar'.

I won't always be a noob. People who have been here for a long time are not exempt from criticism if it is appropriate or valid. Is my criticism not valid? Mocking somebody for bad grammar when you yourself are guilty. I believe that's called hypocrisy.

And hypocrisy is the spice of life.

And, yes you won't always be a n00b. But at the moment, you are.

Even so, I will correct or criticize people who deserve it regardless of my post count. In this instance it was justified.

...Making posts to correct spelling and grammar is...

It's completely pointless and annoying. Pretty much it.

Touché, I myself am looking on in disbelief at how I misspelt abandoned. However I wasn't condemning anyone, merely making an observation so I wasn't really being a hypocrite.

Not really. Isn't it a DLP rule to use proper grammar? I see posters pointing this out all the time. I thought it was justified in this instance, but it's not like I'm completely hung up on grammar, going around like the Gestapo checking posts for grammar mistakes to correct.

Misspelling like one or two words is perfectly alright, considering you're making a quick comment on a forum. What you said is still legible.

The point that Randeemy is making (I think) is more about the atrocious every-other-word spelling and grammar mistakes that some posters have when they respond on the threads here. And it's a completely valid observation.

Obviously some of this is due to the number of people that roam this forum that don't really speak English all that well for whatever reason, but then there are those [English-speaking] people that write/type, both on this forum and in their stories, like they've never ever written in English before.

And it's not really a rule or anything; there are just those people that like to nit-pick even the smallest grammar mistakes.

Proper grammar is encouraged...I don't think proper grammar is encouraged so people post pointing out small spelling mistakes. Sure, if the post reads like a Vorlon fic thats worth pointing out but small shit like the two misspelled words in Randeemy's post is not. It's just irritating.

But by all means continue making posts solely to correct someones grammar. See how far that gets you ^_^

Ouch. What's up with this? I think the first post I made in this thread towards Randeemy was probably a little inflammatory, and in hindsight, a mistake. If that is enough material for you to judge me to be an irredeemable dick, then I would hate to see what you are like in real life.

I'll keep this in mind. I didn't mean to derail the thread, and I apologize for that.

He was pointing out a grammar error in a post on someone who was complaining about bad gramar. A perfectly valid post compared to the majority of the shit that gets posted around here.

People were giving Demons shit for being new when from what I've seen he's posted better and more useful posts in the last month than you Darius or the majority of the uber cool senior members here have posted in the last year.

So how about you and all you stupid cunts STFU and stop thinking your better just because you have 1,556 useless posts darius or 1,943 posts about how America sucks and Scotland rules Mordecai.

In my experience, making posts and threads on DLP about DLP leads to nothing good. Leave that stuff to the admins and mods is my advice.

If by nothing good you mean : Making posts about DLP on DLP has the potential for great lulz.

By nothing good I meant the site descending into a flame war and everyone forgetting about Harry Potter in favour of forum politics.

That's certainly an alternative way of putting it.
