Summary: During the summer following his fifth year at Hogwarts Harry is attacked by Death Eaters. During the attack Harry's true power, which had been bound by Dumbledore is awakened. He struggles to control it while dealing with the Ministry trying to capture him and stopping Voldemort's Plans. During all this Hermione struggles with dealing the price of remaining loyal to Harry when everyone else thinks he's gone evil while growing closer to Harry.

This is a rather strange story, which deserves honourable mention for its unique path and plotline. After a cliched beginning of Death Eaters attacking Harry after Sirius' death (led by Bellatrix, no less), the whole story changes credo. No longer is Harry a wimp who whines over Sirius, or moans about the Dursleys. No, sirs and mesdames, this is a super!Harry who tosses Dumbledore around like a rag doll. Only, he is not in control of his power - the power is in control of him. And when the author says Harry is going dark, Harry really does dark and terrible things, not merely throwing a crucio here and there.

Downside: Hermione also has some super powers (though not in Harry's class), Voldemort does not appear to be the real villain (he is pretty wimpy compared to Harry), and by chapter 9, the only enemy appears to be a pathetic Ministry, which would likely last ten seconds against the author's Harry.

Made it till the middle of chapter 2. It's an unrealistic, amateurishly written load of shit with no apparent plot and crappy characters. The author should do everyone a favour and lock him/herself up in a cage with a sexually-starved gorilla.

 

Got through the first chapter,but only just.

It is not well written, there is no credible justification for Harry to be this mental. He has a lot of trust in Dumbledore, surley him turning up would offer a calming effect on Harry's power. Powerful!Harry is fine, this is just stupid, killing Death Eaters and Aurors without much thought let alone effort.

You should have seen this coming.

As for the story itself, it's okay. Not too great, not too bad. I only read the first three chapters because this super-powered stuff really isn't my cup of tea. It could also use a quick run through a spelling/grammar checker.

Super!Harry, CheesyRomance!Hermione. If you like that kind of thing, great. For me, it's not so great.

*blinks* Ah... Got to the end of the first chap. Um... I wouldnt say its a good fic. It's as if midway through the chapter the author decided to crank up the power dial for Harry from 1 to OVER 9000! It just didnt seem to be very realistic. Now I recognize that it's supposed to be a Harry with power that has been blocked off for all of his life till now but the delivery sucked butt.

Where's the characterization, the struggle in Harry's mind? Seriously, Harry might have been pissed at the end of OotP but becoming an attempt at Badass!Harry so quickly? Where's the logic in that?

That about sums it up. I couldn't even finish the first chapter, it was too... I dunno, abrupt. Suddenly Harry goes über!Harry with an explanation so flimsy it's barely even there, and casually becomes "evil-badass" in about 15 seconds...
Maybe it gets better, but the first half of the first chapter was enough to turn me off.

I was bored so I read till the seventh chapter.

Made of FAIL and it breaks a great deal of potter laws.

Apparently, Hermione is like almost as uber!badass as Harry.

His power has given him Multipal Personality Disorder. (Yes thats how they spelled it)

Right after Hermione figures it out, she switches from saying the whole name to a shortened MPD. Nobody talks to themselves like that.

I guess she needs to redeem him or something and the whole school is against the angst ridden teens because everyone is sheep/fickle/retarded/Prophet Believer, take your pick.

He has a 200,000,000 galleon bounty on his head (yes thasts right Two Hundred Million) from the French and British Ministries and he just PWNs everyone who goes after him (A fucking Army) while claiming that the world deserves being destroyed because there are more bad people than good people.

The author like to use Black lightning, mist, Fire, and just plain balls of energy. (Whenever I read about a black spell like lightning or fire, it doesn't impress me it makes me more disapointed that the author couldn't come up with something cooler looking.)

He rants on about things that havent even happened yet like suicide bombings and he criticises every muggle war as being stupid and dumb because there was apparently no good reason for those wars to have taken place.

He contemplates why he should even save the world from Voldemort because of all the evil that would still be there with him dead.

Whole paragraphs are devoted to what he is wearing and how he looks so badass and blah blah blah.....

To summarize my feelings, 1/5

I know that but he talks about it like a post 9-11 teenager who read one internet article and is fully ready to judge the world on that one article.

 

Way too rushed, no prior development here. This isn't even a proper Harry Potter story, honestly. The author can probably do better, but 1/5 is unfortunately the highest rating I can currently give.

 

He's probably one of those authors who sets the story forward ten years so Harry can angst to Simple Plan and Green Day.

 

This was just ridiculous. Pure anime + emo fangirl + awful characterization= doo doo baby!

 

Whoever the hell they are. (is showing her age; she's around canon Harry's age... has a younger brother that was born the same year as Harry was in canon)
