Wrong. Magical law enforcement are the Police. The Aurors are closer to FBI or spec ops. Nowhere in canon does it say unspeakables have anything to do with law enforcement, that was lorddwar. The unspeakables are the magical equivalent to scientists.

How many wizards are going to spend the time looking up in the sky? The Nuke is going to not be stopped or ineffective unless the wizards have forewarning, agreed?

Unless, you know, you use MAGIC to protect yourself from it.

Also, on the Google Earth topic: stuff may be blurred, but not so blurred as to stop people seeing a street that they know shouldn't be there because they know the area, and noticing that the buildings are crooked and defy physics.

There are many suggestions on this thread for the Muggle side that I'm deliberately ignoring, either because of their sheer stupidity, or the fact that they've been said a hundred times before, and already refuted. I'll let other people deal with them, and step in if things start going south.

Dude have you been reading this whole entire discussion or not?Wizards would obviously put spies in place plus the fact they know they are at war with Muggles so they will obviously study up on them, there would always be people on lookout for nukes if they were at War

EDIT: Sword of Elisha? These are the same wizards who ignored Authur Weasley's report on the illegal sale of firelegs.

I'm pretty sure that it has been flat out said that the Aurors are like police.

And for the record, magical law enforcement? They're aurors. Every single thing we've seen for them suggest that they're police.

But I agree about the unspeakables.

We have to stop resorting to the damn nuke, I think the problem is all our views are different in how strong magic is. We have to find a limit, if this limit is just aim speed and the fact that there is a big green light flying towards you, then that is fine.

Another note is that all the wizarding side is doing is defending, maybe the two sides should switch places for a bit?

In society interactions, Wizards and Muggles are different.
"hey man you catch the Manchester game?"
    Wizard would think quiditch
    Muggle thinks Soccer

    And?

Many Muggles don't follow the football. Me included.

    So:

Muggle: "Hey man, you catch the ManU game?"

Wizard: "No, afraid not." /change subject.

They would fit in. But would the wizards trust this muggleborn, for all they know, this muggleborn could be a spy.

Okay now your just being retarded, the only reason wizards would mix with muggles in a wartime setting is to spy/disable/kill targets. I highly doubt in a wartime situation that people in a HQ are going to be talking about soccer games instead of war and tactics and responses and their jobs.

Obviously HQ's/important places are the only place wizards are gonna go to do things against muggles. So they would have no need to know about soccer lmao.

Heh, people replying too fast, gotta quote.

While I agree they have different cultural cues and the like.

The Aurors still fill the role for them that the police do for us. Except because the wizarding population is so much smaller then ours, I would postulate that they don't /have/ an FBI equivalent. Just Aurors. Junior Aurors do police stuff, and senior aurors do things like tracking down escaped prisoners and more dangerous stuff like illegal artifact busts (drugbustmuch?)

No, no, he's using it as an example to prove a point. He's not saying that during a war they're going to be sitting at a football game or talking about soccer.

I'd just go one simpler and say that Aurors are both investigators, policemen and military.

Then you have the less skilled Hitwizards who are solely combat related.
