What if its their lunch brake or something like that. I am not saying that he is right, I am saying that people talk about other things during their lunch brake.

Why would a Wizard spy be in a lunchroom setting? He wouldn't put himself in that kind of position in the first place because he would know he doesn't know that much about muggles. He would stick to his job and that's it.

It's pretty easy to bluff, change the subject, or just claim ignorance. I don't think there's any subject that couldn't be answered with a "I don't know".

Even stuff like turning a T.V. on, he could just claim to be a klutz when it came to technology. I've met many people in my life who couldn't even figure out how to turn a television on, or similarly easy tasks. I just assumed them stupid. But maybe they were actually wizards in disguise?

Taure, do you check phoneboxes in London for the entry to the MoM?

Would some one constantly avoiding the lunchroom not raise some suspicion when they are in the middle of a war with a different society.

Like was said, magical researchers is what canon seems to support. The idea of them as spies is purely fanon, though I suppose it's possible.

    Not such a bad idea...

But no. I generally avoid London, as I hate the tube.

No it probably wouldn't, thats really stupid lol. Besides the spy would either glamour himself everytime to look like someone else to avoid questions or he would use invisibility cloak.

I think we have covered spies enough. So, in an all out battle between wizards and muggles, with no werewolves etc. who would win?

Well, what are they armed with, for starters? Is it Aurors vs. Infantry, or Civvies vs. Civvies?

I agree about the thread being too fast...
In Ootp Harry asks Mr Weasley if the Aurors will catch the guy who cursed the toilets, to witch he replied

Well, I just read this entire thread, and the only things the muggle-siders could say is 'LOL, NUKES!!!'

I'm going to say this once, just to inform you all. Muggles can't send a bomb at an area that can't be plotted on a map. It is as simple as that. Hogwarts is unplottable. I assume the MOM is unplottable, and any magical place that does not want to be bombed could easily be made so.

Now, someone mentioned something about wizards on the offensive. Let us see.

Wizards have transfiguration that can turn the guns the wizards are holding into poisonous snakes.
Wizards have the killing curse which can be easily used after wizards transfigure whatever the muggles are using as a shield.
Wizards have apparation so whatever defensive lines muggles try to use are worthless.
Wizards have summoning spells so that they could summon the grenade off a muggle's belt and then banish it back at them.
Wizards have imperious curses to make the enemy fight for them.
Wizards have dementors that would LOVE to snake on 7 billion muggles.
Wizards have dragons that they could portkey onto London.
Wizards have spells that can make them into a little animal, like a bug, that can fly around unnoticed.
Wizards have reducto charms that can take out the foundations for a building faster than what DIDN'T happen to the World Trade Center.
Wizards have broomsticks that can fly as fast as a car can drive.
Wizards have levitating spells which could levitate a muggle off a building.
Wizards have little jinxes that could make muggles fall flat as a board, or switch their hands, or make them not be able to see.
Wizards have country-wide spells that they can put on a word, like nuke, so every time someone used it, they would be able to apparate right to them.

Muggles have bullets, and nukes they can't use, and planes they won't be able to get in fast enough for wizards will have already come and gone.

Wizards in JKR's world are so aobve muggles that it is pointless to argue.

And no where does it say that they aren't spies. Or even hit wizards when needed.
