I hate the stories where Harry all of a sudden becomes all powerful and all-knowing and instead of him being a student, Dumbledore brings him back as a fucking Professor, and 999 times out of 1000 he's the DADA Professor. It also seems that these stories include the ability for Harry's 14/15 year old girlfriend unfettered access to his rooms.

I also hate the stories where out of no where Neville, Luna, or someone else all of a sudden become Harry's best friend.

 

Oh, I hate those too. They are pretty funny when he teaches divination instead of the crappy Defence teacher. Most of these have, thankfully, only been AU, and make sense as to why he got hired.

What about when he owns a whole school which attends.

 

I don't get that. What the hell made them think that Luna is a seer? She's just weird. Weird and hot.

...Most of my peeves are simple things, like grammar. One of the more common ones is dialogue in the middle of a paragraph. I'm not sure why people do that, but it annoys the hell out of me; dialogue goes at the beginning or end of the paragraph, not in the middle!

Other than that...not much. Nothing that I can just mention offhand here, at least.

 

I dislike it when Harry's too busy to tackle important matters, but has enough time for Quidditch.

Slash in general, the only fag in the series is Dumbledore, which was a stupid move by Rowling in my opinion, hell DH sucked balls.
Any thing involving the serious use of love, or fertility potions, especially if Harry forgives the person.

 

Especially Slytherins. Y'know, a Dark Harry doesn't have to look in just Slytherin House for allies. Pisses me off.

Edit: It's also possible for Harry to be Dark and not fucking Daphne Greengrass. Just sayin'.

 

okay this is probably a little in the water, but in Naruto Fanfiction not every shinobi reads Jiraiya's perverted book, its annoying that writers use this constantly.
Also the use of names for OCs that are stupid or culturely incorrect, giving a anglosaxon white male a Japanese name, because it sounds cool.

 

The only thing that can actually make a story entirely unreadable to me is if they can't spell words longer than 5 letters, or don't make new paragraphs for speech. This is simply because I literally cannot read it.
My threshold for withstanding stupidity is incredibly high, which is unfortunate most of the time.
My only real peeve in stories that isn't related to the specifics of the English language is characterization. If you can't write decent characterization, You should not be trying to write. Most bad stories are because of bad characterization.

 

Another one is any that refers to Draco as the Prince of Slytherin.

 

I fucking resent that shit. The only one who has the legitimate right to that title is Tom Marvolo Riddle not Draco fucking Malfoy, who is an insult to most Slytherins.

Alright, here below are some of my dislikes.

When Fate and Time are actual OCs. That's just retarded, in my humble opinion.

Fated romance, when two characters are prophesied to be soul mates till the end of time. Totally removes all the conflict from the relationship.

Complete turnaround in character behaviour, with no explanations given. It takes all the realism away from the stories in question.

Stupid main characters, overly abusive Dursleys and Twin-Who-lived stories.

When AU writers don't actually change any important events, I would just reread the books if I wanted everything to happen the same as in canon.

A/Ns in the middle of chapters, they destroy the reading flow completely.

Incompetent villains, badly executed plans, stupid plot devices.

Redeemed!Snape, Redeemed!Malfoys, Severitus, Glorified!Draco, most cross-gen pairins not involving Harry, etc, etc.

That's probably all from me, at least for now.

 

Haha, yeah I tried that last one its on fanfiction, it seems to have sadly gathered a dedicated fanbase, other wise I would have deleted it by now.

 

Well duh, he can be fucking Blaise Zabini too. Or both at once.

 

Yeah Blaise makes a better girl, than a guy, Rowling keeps trying to catering to the minority and the idiots it pisses me off.

 

I think she tried to please all of her fanbase, and ended up alienating more than a few. DLP is living proof of that.

Yep most of them are very poorly written, contrary to what is written in fanfiction, it isn't very realistic.

 

Harry/Ginny soulbond mind link......in other words "Meaning of one" the only positive thing about that fic is that Harry and Ginny haven't started reproducing.

Buffy Crossovers are annoying, and generally shit, and I hate Xander, and any story based off S3 Halloween.

 

Admittedly there /are/ some good buffy xovers. Some. Most of them are utter pants though.

Another peeve of mine is Harry having multiple Animagus forms, and then being some grand mythological animal. For the love of pants, stick to one form. I've yet to see a non Servitius fic where Harry turns into something normal like a cat, and not "OMG, he's a dragon/phoenix/dementor/taurrasque"
