Bad grammar, bad nicknames, rape, evil Dumbledore, Veela...I do believe this fic has nearly all my peeves in one!

*mini rant* What is with authors need to make magical creatures such as veela or vampires have only one mate in the whole world? And often times the mate they are paired with isn't even the same species as the veela or vampire. This does not bode well for the magical species in my book. What are the chances a persons "mate" living anywhere NEAR them. What are the chances a person would MEET said mate. Ok mini rant over

I know what the "author" (And I use the term lightly) meant, but if you've only five ancestors, you've got to be pretty damn old!

 

For some reason, I automatically thought the OC here was a little boy. Usually only slash writers are that lacking in brain development to take that storyline. If they don't explicitly have a slash relationship, they try to blindside het readers by having them get buttraped.

 

I never opened it to find out.

 

If the author makes an addendum: "I thought it would be better, until the night he raped me too." the story would be perfect.

 

I bit the bullet and went and looked. It's a girl, badly narrated in first person...

 

I would lol but it really isn't funny.

 

It's probably one of the pre-rating stories.

True. It's just that crossing two deep fantasy universes is extremely hard and something that not many can do successfully. Unfortunately, almost everyone tries to cross with LOTR and the majority of them are failures.

 

I am surprised that there are no other fantasy crossovers, other then LOTR. There are other fantasy books, like the bartimeous trilogy, Narnia and even Artemis Fowl.

 

I think I read that once. I kept expecting somthing to happen but it just got worse, and worse, and worse. I think I just gave up after they told him he couldn't fly with his ubber handicapped broom because his heart would give out. Well that might have been in a different story but I dropped that one as well.

 

I know of at least one Narnia, and I keep clicking open those with LOTR if the summary is good enough in hopes that I'll find a good one. If you're a Lois McMaster Bujold fan, there's a really great series (it's pretty old) of crosses with that. (It's a deep science fiction universe)
