My Summary: Hiashi and Hinata stumble upon a beaten Naruto and their lives are changed forever. Naruto goes away to live with some "acquaintances" of Sarutobi while Hinata forces herself to change, inspired by Naruto's strength. Naruto must accommodate to survive his ...losses. Thankfully, he has the wind to help him continue his career as a ninja.

Anyway, the writing for this fic is fairly standard for fanfction, though everything flows nicely. It's readable, though a good beta could have cleaned a few things up. The apperence of words/phrases like "emo" and "epic win" lower the quality too, though they're infrequent enough that it's permissible.

The plot is well constructed. The OCs, while being pointedly mary-sueish, are tolerable. Hiashi is characterized well – surprisingly. Hinata, Hanabi, Tenten, Sasuke, and Ino, are also characterized fairly well. Naruto's good, though he's a little too powerful for my tastes, but I don't think it will put anybody here off.

It's at 15 chapters and 240,000 words with a decent update/word count ratio.

The story evades enough common problems and is creative enough to be worthy of attention, though it's not without problems. A good story so far.

 

Actually if you look at the fanfiction forum, the author has a little facts thread and it seems Hinata is the only person definitely not getting with Naruto.

Really? I'm shocked.

The story looks like it's following the same theme as Kishimoto – parallelism, just as the Houraisan couple was formed, so too NaruHina is formed... though if that isn't the case, I'm impressed. To break from that mold shows fortitude... though I'm wary of an author willing to break a mold just to be original (I guess I'll have to look up that thread).

Give it a shot. This fic does mecha better than fics in mecha fandom. Great characters and a very nicely set up plot. I'm loving it. Plus, it manages to keep the "Narutoness" of Naruto. He makes the transition from ninja to mecha extremely well,

Marvel!Naruto crossover. Needs to update srsly as this looks rather interesting.

Realise that not all of these are the best thing since sliced bread. They are fairly new however and haven't been abandoned like a lot of the old stuff.

Naruto_Fuujinroku reminds me of Bloodlines last time I read it. Nothing is happening except seriously ultra cool training which is ultimately very seriously boring. Best way to learn is on the battlefield srsly.

A number of OCs, but they're all distinct and are likable and gradually introduced (so no clusterfuck). Naruto is well done here. The story moves quickly. Good imagery. The author does well with blending canon and fanon.

 

Just a warning for those who don't like the genre - it's the jinchuuriki banding together to form a village, on the direction of the kyuubi. Still, I've been following it and I haven't been disappointed so far. It shows you just how strong even a genin jinchuuriki is against even the best fighters out there.
