i think the only reason any one can sense the Kyuubi is because of the evilness/malice it's chakra exudes (it is the accumulation of human malice...) or the profound killing intent it seems to create...

Sasuke has been drawing and drawing from the curse seal's power a number of times in this fight... and finally Orochimaru's failsafe is kicking in and penalties are adding up.

Why do you think Oro put the curse seal on him in the first place? He knew what the Sharingan could do... so the curse seal is his way to subvert it.

Why do you think they've been talking about Oro being absorbed but not dead in the manga recently.

Oro is calling in the debt that Sasuke built up in exchange for power... and calling it due.

Even if Sasuke wins the itachi battle... he's lost because he'll be taken over.

Zabuza - Your telling me a warrior who create mist and fights in it as a primary strategy didn't think of this kind of thing...? He fought just fine earlier despite the mist.

Kimmimaro - Well yes. So it's not technically a gimp. It's a pre-meditated gimp.

Kishi just can't write a believable villain v hero scenario. Just like almost every other shonen manga-ka.

Think about it.

In all of shonen, the villain is almost ALWAYS set up to be totally superior to the hero, in order to create an exaggerated underdog effect. In the end, the villain is gimped, OR the hero is given some ridiculous power up from out of his ass.

In Naruto, it is the former, just like in Bleach, where it is the later.

 

Inuyasha has been pretty good about avoiding that pitfall, but that's the only one that I know of in my (admittedly limited) experience. Naraku's continued survival is pretty much due to his regeneration, and Takahashi has made it pretty clear that the only reason he still exists is that Sesshoumaru didn't want to kill Rin accidentally.

Anyway, yeah, Kishimoto seems to have trouble dealing with higher levels of power. In a way, the problem lies in the system that he's developed. It just isn't quite consistent enough, and, to be frank, he probably isn't bright enough to make proper use of the power that he does allot. Additionally, he seems to suffer from the same fangirl syndrome that drives so many authors to make all of the main character's acquaintances be t3h m0st p0w3rfu1 3v4r!1!1!!!1, which has a tendency of severely skewing any given system, particularly at higher levels of power, as well as cheapening the meaning of those same high levels of power. Finally, his underestimation of Kyuubi's intelligence closed off a perfect avenue by which to present a reasonable conflict with the Akatsuki, as well as some very good character development on the part of Naruto and other high-level ninjas.

Ya kinda missed the point with Kabuto I think

He, at first, intended to let Oro's cells to just consume him.

But then he said he was inspired by Naruto... and that instead he's going to fight and become better than he was... basically reinventing himself.

So we'll have Oro taking over Sasuke (for a time) and Kabuto coming back later as well... and likely Oro will end up in that body with Kabuto. But we'll have to see.

 

I understood it quite well...I'm just trying to imagine how the Narutoverse would be if it had two Oros running around. esp if one has a Sharingan and the other, high level medical nin skills and a potentially strong bloodline.

 

Kabuto has a bloodline?

 

Kabuto is still the most mysterious character in the series. He's one of the only few I'm still interested in.

He's had no backstory yet (he won't be killable until we know his history or parents), so we don't really know much about him. He's just a random leaf-ninja who for some reason decided to join Akatsuki... betray them, and then for whatever reason, join Orochimaru. He could very well have a bloodline or something hidden up his ass.

He doesn't seem power-hungry (otherwise, why would he be so loyal to Orochimaru?). He isn't overly powerful (just a prowess for medical jutsu).

Actually, Kabuto has the potential to be a greater threat than Akatsuki or Sasuke. He's supposedly on the way to being better at medical jutsu than Tsunade, and he has Orochimaru's powers flowing into him. With his medical skill, he can probably devise ways to implant different bloodlines into himself... or make himself immortal. He has a regeneration ability like Naruto and he's /cunning/ and /intelligent/.

Forget Itachi... Kabuto's #1.

 

during the chunin exam, the part where he's helping Team 7 fight the Rain nins, his glasses gets knocked off, his eyes begins to turn red, and it seems he's about to go berserk or something...

Actually, Sasuke has changed more throughout the course of the Manga than Naruto... so it's probably fair to say he's the actual protagonist – Naruto's just a device Kishi used to pull us into the story – the unofficial narrator.

That's why he's so dumb, so things can be explained to us (the reader).

If Shika became the protag, this manga would take off though. Everybody knows it.

 

Some translators at Naruto forum went over that one with a fine toothed comb to settle this question some time ago... about a year and a half ago if I remember.

The original translation was done to translate what was said into an english idiom.

When Kabuto talks about getting the "old blood rising"... it's not refering to a bloodline limit. It's called IRE. he's getting pissed... which means he is getting flushed with anger.

Kabuto does not have a bloodline limit. At least he didn't before he took Oro's cells and injected them. Now he's mutating into something.
