The whole line feels a bit contrived... and unnecessary, even.

"looking and feeling an awkwardness"

examine the line – looking and feeling – two passive verbs. It communicates little. All the sense verbs (look/feel/smell/sound) are very weak. And what is awkwardness? The whole thing is vague. It's better said with using imagery, action, or description.

 

I'll admit, that Harry / Amaris interaction was fucking awesome.

Fawkes is probably tolerated for the same reason that Leanansidhe was tolerated. They may be strong enough to possibly challenge the Ladies, but they're most likely going to get beat and badly at that. The Mother/Queen/Lady do NOT tolerate insubordination. Fawkes hasn't challenged Aurora or Titania, unlike Lea who got her ass whipped by Mab.

 

Harry/Amaris/Amanda? Why not.

Writing a Man + 3 female sex scene would be difficult. A lot of "hers" and "her" and "she". Man + 2 females is difficult enough.

I guess it could be written, since you could use "girl" in some instances, but it would be a monster to write.

 

Fury of the Hellspawn? It's well written and some scenes have 3 women in them, although they don't all please him at the same time. But yeah, it still is a bitch to write.

EDIT: Narion, we're just goofing around. Any sexual relationship with an 8 years old is sick.

 

Frankly, any Harry/Amanda interaction is quite unlikely to ever be sexual, and if it ever is, we can be almost certain that there would be no third, fourth, or even fifth party involved - besides, of course, Meciel, who is involved only because she's in Harry's mind.

It's actually somewhat unfortunate that Amaris is too young for those sorts of things, as a sexual relationship between her and Harry, and possibly with the addition of Maeve, would be a clear depiction of the extent of his... well, lack of decency and morality. Also interesting would be Meciel's view of that situation - we know she's somewhat nicer than most of the Denarians, at least in some ways, but does that necessarily mean that she's less twisted than, say, Anduriel?

And then there would be the reactions of Harry's... well, peers would perhaps be an unfair term, given Harry's capabilities... so, classmates, then, to this interaction? Would they even know that she's his daughter and/or that she's in a sexual relationship with him? Would he flaunt it just to freak them out?

In all fairness, as interesting as it would be, I don't think it'd be a good choice for canon DK, but perhaps Shezza could find an author willing to write a probably humor-centric spinoff on this basis?

All that said, I still wish that the brat were kept out of the story, but I suppose that I'll just have to manage.

Just a thought, when someone mentioned something about corrupting youth... Shezza, have you thought at all about having Harry take the coins when he kills some Denarian ass, and then....corrupting some people in the fashion that he was?
