Yeah, "Odd Ideas" is pretty good. I especially liked his SherlockHolmes!Harry.

 

Rorschach is one of those writers who is kind of locked in a specific genre - humor. It happens a lot with fantasy or science fiction authors, but they break out.

Rorschach tries to too, but his attempts at serious fics are just hideous. Weak writing style isn't screened by humor, and very easy logic is lost on him. Harry cows negotiating vampires into submission almost instantly, never mind the fact that the point of negotations is that if a party capitulates the second someone wants them to, there wouldn't be a need for negotiations.

It makes you think he spent every last drop of his creativity on the general plot, ie Harry inheriting Azkaban, but doesn't have anything left over for the actual story.

And Harem stories without smut is the equivalent to hitman!Harry who avoids killing every chance he gets.

We really need to get back on topic guys. So, I am hear to the rescue.

I think we have enough plot ideas for a Doctor Who crossover to make at least 5 different storys. The Doctor Who part could even be used to crossover with other random universes for a chapter or two, those chapters could be used when you have writers block and the such.

Doesn't Doctor Who have some parts which have things like ghosts? I think the problem people have with the crossover is that, why would Harry go with the Doctor to explore the universe.

On a plot idea, the Doctor said that the Master could rape a couple dozen women of England and one being Lily, on Harry's birthday, not his eleventh, the Doctor could time travel into that time and finds that Harry is half time lord. The Doctor then takes him as his own, but lets say that after a long time, the Doctor dies and Harry takes the Tardis. Harry, being full of sorrow travels through time a bit until he finds the wizarding community. Now after that I don't know what to do, so you could just write your own part in.

 

Voldemort, in his quest for immortality turns to the Daleks? Or Cybermen?

But you'd need one hell of a good plot and author to pull it off. Which I don't think exists in the world of cross-overs *sigh*

Wand wizards use LOTS of visual cues - and I can't remember any canon indicators of cast spells being detectible by anything other than sight. Talk about a literary challenge.

I've been on a Buffy&Angel/DC comics crossover kick for the last few days. I spent yesterday evening on someone called joehundredaire, who had good ideas but kept pushing the graphic femmeslash. I didn't mind it, but as I read later and later stories, the girl sex took over. I gave up. I'm in the mood for action, not gaygirlporn.

Harry Potter/Mortal Kombat would be good for a lol. But in seriousness I always thought that a crossover with The Golden Compass and it's series would be....interesting. The wizards animagus is a different form of the Daemon and that.
