imo, killing intent (KI) is the projection of murderous emotions/desires by use of chakra.

In no way can his eyes gaining a mysterious red glow be attributed to something such as KI. I highly doubt Zabuza's eyes turned red when he released his KI upon Team 7 during the Wave mission.

But, could you please explain why and how you think the red eye is an effect (maybe cause?) of KI?

 

Honestly, I think the red eye is due more to a broken blood vessel than anything else.

As for killing intent and the whole eye thing. It may or may not have been killing intent, but a main thing about most manga is how a characters eyes look when their in the heat of battle.

 

my point exactly. Every observed occurrence of eyes unnaturally transforming in battle have always been bloodline related. And although, the Sharingan, Byakugan, Ranmaru's Unnamed Bloodline, and the Rinnegan are currently the doujutsus we are aware of, there is a possibility that others exist. and Kabuto may be one of those possibilities.

As for the Shodai vs Madara fight (beatdown!), what if Shodai could summon some great deity of nature, like The God of Nature, through his Mokuton? Wouldn't that be enough to counter Susanoo?

 

No, the Kusanagi is considered the lesser sword from what I read. That it has a greater power at sealing than even Kusanagi.
