    Ah, wikipedia, the source of all knowledge.

    Personally I prefer to use Talk Origins when it comes to the evolution/creationist debate. It's very comprehensive and takes a good neutral attitude, letting the facts do all the talking.

    Thisperson is indeed right. Beyond about 50,000 years carbon dating is indeed very imprecise.

    Thankfully, carbon dating isn't the only way we can get the age of things. There are other methods for getting the age of the Earth, both radiometric and not.
