Singed up as neo2b, I'm currently at level 4 :)

Edit: If you attack someone, you can't be attacked for an hour.

Also, everytime you search for an opponent, it costs you gold. I just wasted all of my gold that way. Now I have to work for $10 an hour. >_<

I did get one successful plunder in, and a grand total of 4 victories, 0 defeats. Dammit, I have to wait an hour to fight again.

    Edit: Only $5/hr. Meh.

Strange, you only managed one succesful plunder? Because every plunder I've done ended up succesful.

Edit: Neo2b has won the fight. Winner's haul: 111 [IMG]

    Now that's sweet :)

My first plunder I lost when the farmer's wife KO'd me. The second I nicked ~$84 from a knight's campsite.

5 min until I've finished my hour of work, then it's plundering time.

I just raided an enemy castle for around $560. Sweet.

Obviously, I registered. Same username as here, level 5.
Nice little game but from what I've seen there's a good chance it'll grow boring in less than five days. We'll see.

And I would advise saving 20 gold when you first buy your stats, not 10. This way you won't have the same problem as yak when your first raid fails. ;)
Also, if you're saving gold for a costly stat or something, remember to start a preemptive attack every 60 min, or someone will try to steal your savings. If you don't have much gold with you, most player don't seem to bother. (me included)

Another advise: aim to raise your gold while keeping your experience low in the first stages of the game. You can buy stats en masse and are way ahead of the other players of your level this way.

Yak: Yes you're all on my referral.

The thing with plundering is you can only do it 12 times a day~ 6 when your premium runs out.

Look for higher level (not too high) characters with low stats to beat up on for extra XP.

I'll post my stats when I'm done plundering so I don't look like a douche.

I just suffered my first defeat. There goes my 17-straight winning streak. My opponent was the same level, lower stats, had a shield, and he stomped me.

I've got some noob advice. When you leave comp for work/sleep, do a safety fight and set your char to work for 8hrs or however long you'll be gone. Sure, you'll lose some money to raids, but you'll still end up with more than you started.

    Some good forum threads:

    0. Hit Points (HP) are not hit points. Life Energy is. >_<

    1. When you hit lvl 11 your ass will get severely pounded.

    2. That is why many people camp at lvl 9 and 10. They build up stats before quickly busting through the next few levels. Life gets safer at lvl 12, and much safer by lvl 16.

    3. This is how you can save gold from raids when you're at work/asleep.

    4. These are the weapons that the experienced players buy starting at lvl10.

    5. This moderator recommends buying your first horse at lvl 10.

    6. Why buy a horse? Because your horse's stats add directly to your character's stats.

    7. This is a table of the costs for upgrading your skills. UpgradeCost = CurrentSkill * CurrentSkill

    8. A small public debate on the most powerul alliances in each world. GoD and FEAR (coincidence!) both rank highly in World 3. There doesn't seem to be much loyalty for a particular alliance when a player changes worlds.

    9. Interesting? Powerful mercenary alliances are feared in World 2.

Alright, I'm done posting links for now. :)

That's exactly what I meant you should not do.
Stats (and therefore gold) are far more worth than Levels (and therefore XP). If you keep your XP as low as possible without stopping to plunder you have the merit of lvl10 stats at lvl6. Just before lvl11 you should completely stop plundering and gaining XP and try to get your stats as high as possible without raising your level, because when you're level 11 you can be attacked by everyone.
As soon as you are lvl11 you should do the opposite: Gaining XP as fast as you can, because the higher your level, the less interested are most other players in attacking you, even if your stats are the same.
In yak's link about camping you can read more about that.

@yak: On the page where you see your opponents stats and confirm your attack, there's a field that I think shows your opponents gold. Im not sure, though, because it is named "raided gold" or something. Can't look at the moment.
There has to be a way to see the gold of other players, however, because I've read multiple times that many opponents will be interested in attacking you when you're carrying too much gold.

The 'raided gold' just shows how much you've got from PvP fights (not plundering) throughout the game.

I was reading about it on the forums. It goes like this:

You can't tell how much gold someone has without attacking them first. If you win and you get a nice chunk of gold (a % of their loot) then you know that they're currently carrying a lot of gold. You add them to your 'foe list' and attack them again in 12 hours (can't do it sooner). If you strike it rich again, then you know that the character has a habit of carrying too much gold. Keep farming them every 12 hours until they wise up or move out of your range.

If you find someone carrying a lot of gold, you can instead post their name to us and we can raid them for their gold every hour, far sooner than the 12 hour rule. They might've dumped their gold or been farmed by someone else before you can hit them again.

Some of the alliances work that way.

Your other comments about keeping your lvl low while raising stats is spot on. You need to find good farms at levels below you so you can keep the gold coming in without bumping up to lvl 11 until you're ready (weapon, horse, stats).

Heh, so basically, once you hit level 11, expect to be violated early and often? How do you get gold without plundering then; it's too much of a stretch to expect low level players to be carrying much gold to attack them for. Level 7 right now, stats are 15 across the board.

I think that's exactly what is happening. I'll post some links to obvious campers who are all in the top100 ranking for World 3:

    Jud Grigori, lvl6, Victories: 1283, Defeats: 3
    messerli, lvl 10, Vic:1084, Def:35

There are plenty more. Just go here and look at everyone with a lvl10 or lower character.

As you can see, both campers have participated in a huge number of fights (victories + defeats). Plundering does not get added to your victory/defeat totals. These fights are where they earned their gold to keep bumping their stats to insane levels. Check out Jud Grigori's stats.

It is possible that there are other ways to earn money without bumping up xp. Maybe playing as a mercenary, arena battles, or volunteering for a war? I haven't tried any of them.

Feeding off the weak? I guess that's how the game's played...

Anyways, horses seem to be obscenely good. I'll go for one then start playing like these vultures.

    Taken from the 'camping thread':
Look at current or former campers and compare their average gold haul to the top players and you can see how effective this is.

It is very effective. The average gold haul for these lvl 6-10 campers is a little above those who are in their late 20's lvls. That's impressive.

    Good farms.

Edit: Another good, brief, camping thread.

Yeah, I can see the logic. Players at that level tend to be morons and keep gold on hand, while the 11+ crowd generally knows how to manage/bank theirs. Good thing you pointed it out this early, I'm stopping my leveling at 7 for awhile.

Darius, if you're still trying to power to 15 to form the guild you'll probably get raped at the 11+ stage. :p

Actually, someone has to power through to 15 so that we can set up an Order. Darius is definitely in the best position to do it. Because he gets a 10% commission on all of our income, he won't have the money problems that any of the rest of us would suffer. As long as we keep on bringing in the gold, he can power on to lvl15 with no problems.

If we're whoring our stats, then at the end of the first day mine are:

    HP: 5, Str: 12, Att: 12, Def: 11, Agi: 11, Sta: 11
    Vic: 42, Defeats: 1
    Gold captured: 378
    Hitpoints given: 2242
    Hitpoints taken: 177
    Placement (gold capt.): 3627
    Average haul: 9

    Gold: 14
    Life: 55/130

I've set up 8 hours of work. :)

Eshk. I've made 100 gold from the commission but since I introduced the game I feel obligated to make the order. I'm leveling up as fast as I can.

Anyone who isn't a pagan please post here~

EDIT: We've got 20 members from this thread ^_^

I'm going to link them all this thread and ask everyone to sign in with level / stats.

I'm going to check out the interest level before I move on from level 7.
