meh never even read the 7th book, never saw the 5th movie. This is all a a ploy to get more money... and it will work to.

 

Why would they need two movies to cover Deathly Hallows anway? All they did was camp out in a tent for 500 odd pages.....

 

I haven't seen a HP movie all the way through since the third one came out. I watched GoF until Dumbledore went all crazy on Harry and said screw this. So I highly doubt that I will ever do anything but laugh at the people moronic enough to go and watch these movies.

 

While I agree with everything everyone has said already, I have to admit I'm curious as to how the Gringotts scene will go down. I think that was the only thing I liked about the 7th book.

Goddammit is this going to suck. This basically guarantees we're going to get an epilogue scene, as well as many camping scenes that have little to nothing to do with the plot or character development. Joy.

 

You actually liked that? I thought it was stupid, unrealistic and one of the worst parts of the book, which is saying a lot.

 

Truth. Theres no need at all for 2 movies. It'll just be a very boring, drawn out load of shite.

Unless they've consulted Rowling and are adding in scenes that she decided to leave out. Good scenes.

But the epilogue alone will fuck it up.

 

Hmmm ... just thought. When I went to watch Resident Evil: Apocalypse, the movie burned up halfway through and cut off. Maybe the same could happen before the epilogue plays...

I can hope.

 

All I can say is get ready the motion sickness pills...can you say flashbacks? Lots and lots of meaningless and uninspiring flashbacks? I knew you could!

It doesn't really matter whether or not you liked the book. It's a Harry Potter movie, people! That pretty much guarantees it's going to suck big time. And it will contain the Epilogue. If this isn't confirmation that the movie, no wait, movies will be anything but mountains of fail, then I don't know what is.

Seeing three untalented child actors camping in the forest for a third of the movies is hardly my definition of entertaining.

 

The first movie will be attempting to make everyone understand who people are, seeing as they haven't introduced Bill, who is part of the plot at Shell Cottage - Fleur is also not coming back for HBP so she might not return for DH. Dobby, what the hell are they going to do have Neville appear and get killed and have Harry sob and plant "Here lies Neville - A free plant-lover"

The movie is probably going to be awful, and I am willing to bet that there will be a lot more Harry!Ginny scenes in the movie than there was in the book.

 

They're going to butcher it and fuck it up so bad it wont even be worth downloading, so why care?

 

I predict the movie gets split just after Harry buries Dobby. That way the second one can have the Gringotts scene and the battle at Hogwarts. Although the first one will be pretty lacking in content... leaving Privet Drive, the wedding, the Ministry, and then camping for months before finally getting caught...

Meh, I guess they'll have enough content but not enough interesting content.

 

I think you are all missing the point. The movie may or may not suck, though it probably will. The real problem is who will watch it? The last book came out 2-3 years before the first part of DH will come out. Parents + children probably won't come because it got a lot of death scenes and the buzz will be dead. Teenagers will mainly not see it because 'Heroes' is finally a movie.

There's the hard-core fans who are going to watch 'TH3 LaSt HARRY P0ttEr MoVie EVERRR' just by the title, but I'm not sure they are all willing to do it in 2-4 years, when they are in their early 20's.

A lot of speilberg fans will watch this, though ^_^
