I was just wondering if anyone on these forums plays COD4? What do you think of it, what's your favorite gun, custom build, etc. Personally I think it is a great game and one of the best multiplayer experiences that I have ever had. I tend to run a sniper setup quite ofter, but I also like running a silenced P90 with Bandolier/UAV Jammer/Dead Silence for when I feel like getting up close and personal.

 

It's OK for a FPS. Fast, smooth and comfortable. Easily forgettable, too, like most modern games.

 

Everyone I know that games has been creaming themselves over it.

If you play the pc version, the p90 is getting nerfed next patch.

M4 best assult rifle hands down.


Crash is the best map imo.

 

I play the 360 version and I think that game is okay but not the worst game there.

My class is an AK-47 with Bomb Squad, Sleight of Hand and Deep Penatration.

I don't have a favorite map.

 

I just goot my net connection to work for LIVE so i've been playing online since yesterday.

I favored sniping and the M4 but realised that the starting assault rifle combined with stopping power makes almost every shot a one shot kill.

I hate the Ship map and I loathe the map called Shippment where the flag is in the middle of those containers. I HATE that map.

Well, I got the 360 version, but I haven't really played it online yet. My Gamertag is Iztiak.

 

I'm an FPS man, it's what I prefer to play over any other game type. And to be honest, COD 4 is currently the best one on the market.

There are some issues with it, as there are with any other game, but overall it's fantastic. The new maps, and changes coming out are only going to make the game better.

I use basically one build for every class I have.

Guns:
G36C (Red-dot) anytime I'm going close to medium range.
M40 most of the time, I'm basically just a sniper nowadays.
G3 (Silenced) anytime I play Hardcore. 1 shot kill, most accurate in the game.

Perks:
Bandolier - You start surviving longer than 15 kills in a row on a regular basis and the extra ammo vs. picking up a new weapon is crucial.
Stopping Power - 30% extra damage? Yes please.
Steady Aim/Iron Lungs - Steady Aim is vital, turn a corner and a guy is right in front of you (not close enough to knife) and you dont have time to sight in, steady aim increases your "from hip" accuracy drastically. Iron Lungs for holding my breath longer as a sniper.

Tip: The Scorpion is pure fucking death. You ever see MIB? The noisy cricket is basically the scorpion.

 

Very good game, I hate the US M16 though, the three shot burst setting just pisses me off. Canadian C7 on automatic you can empty a 30 round mag in under 3 seconds lol. I'm a big fan of shotty/martyr in the vacant level anyone else?

 

Martyrdom is the fucking bane of my existence, I hate it.

Always ends up ruining a perfectly good streak.

29 kill streak ended by some twat and his fucking Martyrdom.

 

I play it on the 360 from time to time and it is a great game. I just love running around with a Desert Eagle, hands down best gun on the game.

I play this game more on the pc. I like using the RPD LMG with a grip, stopping power, deeper impact. Have used that setup since lvl 20 to 55 and am loving my red tiger camo

 

I play it daily on the PC. Tag is Loosebullet. For anyone playing PC who hates marty or Grenade Launchers the only server I play on is a marty/noobtoob free server, I think its the GPI clan server, hit it up if you wanna game me.

Also, the M16 is awesome once you know how to use it, got my highest streak with that. And the best perk by far is sleight of hand, quick reload owns.

I have it, for the 360, but haven't actually played it yet. I bought it on a recommendation, then realised I actually don't want to play any more WW2 shooters for a good long time.

I'm playing Lost Odyssey instead right now, but I'll probably get to it at some point.

 

Maybe Modern Warfare doesn't quite stick with this one...

Call of Duty 4 is not about WW2.... Actually it takes place in the present time.
