Some of those lvl9 farms are getting quite strong. Check their stats before you attack. I have a fouchard, horse and decent stats, and I still lost a fight I thought I would've won. Does being low on health reduce your effectiveness in a fight? I suspect it may. I haven't read anything in the forums speculating about it though.

The only decent thread I've found on the issue is this one. In brief: No one knows. In long: The top players are using a variety of different stat-balancing strategies. Some top-tier players are using W3 to experiment with different stat strategies. The stats that appeal to campers are different to the lvl 11+ players who are in order battles and holy wars.

If anyone speaks German, then they can go and have a look at what the Germans think about stats. They've got a much larger forum community.

And I just read a bit in the german forum. On the topic of stats I only found that you should either level Strength/Attack or Agility/Defence.
On the topic of health they write that you should always go with at least 90% health if you're going to fight an opponent who roughly matches your stats. And you should always have 100% when going to war.

 

Enh - Support Sarceans, the Christians are apparently weak in this game.

Also the big Orders have ~35 members but quite a lot (10+) level 20's or higher.

We have about 9 active members :/

Apparently, most neutrals signed up for the Saracens, since there're so many Christians. It's a smart move; you get more EXP/Gold from it IIRC.

Since I'm nearing level 11 (as in, anything I do that nets experience will level me up), I'm just going to kick back and work for the next few days. I'm getting that sword before I hit the danger zone, god damn it.
