I read that she auditioned for the part because her friends told her on a daily basis that she was Luna Lovegood, and that she was basically the hugest HP/Mugglenet fan - so it doesn't surprise me that she has the sweatshirt. She's cute, definitely, but I refuse to ever get with/drool over a girl when she completely embodies a fictional character.

 

I think this isn't a case of 'look like' as much as it is a case of 'is almost exactly alike in terms of appearance and personality and that's just plain creepy'. But that's just a guess based on Justblaise's post.

It's borderline admitting that you fapped to the fictional character before going out and deciding "hey, I want the real thing now!" Nicolas Cage married Lisa Presley because he was a huge fan of Elvis - tell me that's not fucking weird. Getting with a Luna clone is pretty much the same thing: attraction to someone for decidedly odd reasons.

Lynch is an excellent Luna, no doubts about that, though she doesn't quite match up with my mental image of the character, physically.

However... every time I see a picture of her (not in costume), I can't help but think, "Clearly this girl is Luna, or at least thinks she is."

I mean come on! Am I the only one that wouldn't be surprised if she waltzed into her next interview wearing vegetables for earrings and mismatched striped stockings, then proceeded to inspect the room for nargles? I think not.

It's adorable, really, though a bit spooky. Is it art imitating life or life imitating art? Perhaps I'm just imagining things and she simply has a quirky fashion sense.
