Eh, I'm not going to apologize for comparing Naruto to a Weasley. Have you seen the fillers between part 1 and part 2? Its absolutely disgusting how every other filler arc is about him going after Sasuke. Then in part 2 when they finally did meet, he still acted all fan boish.


As for Sasuke getting everything on a silver platter, the guy barely won 3 fights in part 1. Once in the Chuunin forest, in the semi-finals, and finally against Naruto at the end of part 1. After part 2 he's won against 2 Akatsuki members (1 former) so perhaps he made the right choice in leaving the village, but it doesn't really even matter because part 2 sucks. Naruto should have become more badass, but he still basically only does the same thing he did in part 1. Spam the kage bushin the rasengan and if that fails, use Kyubi.

If you were perhaps suggesting that maybe Sasuke as an Uchiha got preferential treatment in everything, c'mon. There is no canon evidence for that. If you're going to hate him at least focus it more on the fact that he is an arrogant asshole than something as flimsy as that.

Harry is worse than Sasuke because at least he did something. Harry was walked through his claim to fame, the Triwizard Tournament, (where he at least seemed to be doing something to improve his skills) by Crouch, who helped him on every single step of the way.

In books five and six he left me feeling underwhelmed, which is why I came to this website. To see if any decent soul would make him seem even remotely competent.

Anyways, I rather enjoyed the whole Oro getting perma-killed thing. It is a refreshing change of pace from the likes of Inuyasha where Naraku always gets away at the last instant. It was one of the only decent things to have happened to far. Still going to have to wait a few months to see what really did kill Itachi.

 

I think that Orochimaru is the only decent antagonist in the entire damn story. Him getting "perma-killed" was bullshit. Not only because it happened, but because of how easily he was manhandled by not one but two different Uchiha. Granted he was on his death bed when Sasuke attacked, but Itachi embarrassing him like that was truly a let down to what would have been a phenomenal battle.

 

Anyone find it funny that Kishi had to get Oro and Itachi sick just so Sasuke could beat them? Talk about contrived writing.

Has Sasuke ever truly lost a fight anyway? All of his fights have conveniently been interrupted or skewed before they could even end. How can he grow if he always wins?

Perhaps I'm over simplifying. He did lose to Kakashi, Haku, Lee, Orochimaru, Gaara, and Itachi – however, all of these defeats were temporary, and Sasuke did not change at all when confronted by these losses. He has only became more bratty and childish.

That was the whole reason that Orochimaru was even interested in the Sharingan to begin with; because Itachi easily defeated him and cut off his hand. What still kind of bugs me about part one though was that Itachi could take Orochimaru and what we can only guess to be his prime, yet he and his buddy ran away from Jiraiya. Makes no sense.

Then again, Orochimaru did lose to an old man who was simultaneously fighting two undead Hokage, so theres that.

In part 1 the fucking Sharingan couldn't even fucking see through fog for Kakashi. Now it can control fucking Kyuubi, allow you to jump into someone elses head on a whim. Never mind the nifty new eternal Mangekyou.

I hate Sasuke because he's a fucking Gary Stu. He struts around and the mangaka bends over fucking backward to try and portray him as goddly and pwnsome. He doesn't struggle at all to do anything. There's never any fucking tension about it. You know that he simply will succeed.

The same could be said about Naruto now too. Take his fight with Kakuzu for example. His bullshit KB feint should have NEVER worked against him.

Once Kakuzu knew that that technique of Naruto's had a time limit for it's use (which he saw) he should have stuck to long distance attacks which he seemed to excel at.

Instead, Kishimoto gave him a fucking lobotomy and had him die of plot induced stupidity.

I said it before. What needs to happen is that Itachi gets back up only to show that it's really Orochimaru who escaped and took over Itachi. If Kishi did that everything I have said against this manga I will slightly retract. I think that it would open up a lot more interest in the manga.

Edit: If the above doesn't happen I think the only way this manga can survive is if Sasuke were to somehow join Akatsuki.

there's a huge difference in liking Naruto, and liking the Narutoverse appear in HP, or vice versa. HP and Naruto are two vastly different cultures that clash horribly. Besides authors who write HP/Naru Xovers fail to consider all important factors when planning their fics: cultural traditions, specific social behaviors, speech and mannerism, difference between magic and chakra, etc.
So most of the Xovers are crap. Unorganized, inaccurate content, too much OOC, etc. which also perpetuates the dislike of Japanese themes in HP.

This crossover is like the only thing that works. There is another one called "Assassination?" but thats besides the point. This crossover fic actually considers the large barrier of foreign culture and language. And the best part is, ninja society is very much unknown to the wizarding culture, especially dumbledore.

And thats the most retarded thing i've ever heard. Also, Oro is dead permanently because he came out at the wrong time, especially with Itachi having out his biggest guns. Not to mention the fact that Oro admitted to being weaker than Sasuke in the first season.

Orochi is not permanently dead for two reasons: 1) his soul is stuck in a Genjutsu world, not the afterlife, so there's a slight possibility of him coming out and 2) Kabutomaru, who could be the link to Oro breaking out of the Genjutsu world.

uh, when was this? I only recall two moments in which Oro admitted to someone being stronger than him: Sometime after the Chunin Exam where he says he wasn't strong enough to beat Itachi and take over his body and that he actually feared Itachi and 2) the scene in Shippuden where Sasuke beats down a roomful of nins. There, Orochi states that Sasuke was stronger than him when he was Sasuke's current age. Basically, Sasuke at 16 was stronger than Orochi at 16.

Kabuto did that because he was inspired by naruto to become strong on his own. So he injected the cells of Oro in order to become strong. there is no way in hell, a genius doctor who wants to become strong would not overlook a chance of being possessed. There is a reason why Oro picked Kuboto as his personal assistant.

 

Oh? And what would you have happen? Let me guess. You would like to see Sasuke come back to Konoha and welcomed by with open arms by everyone. Hell, even throw in a parade. He then hooks up with Sakura and is given the title of Hokage over Naruto.

My idea may have not been the best, but it's a damn shot better than what Kishi has put out. Orochimaru taking over Itachi would be one of the most unexpected things to happen and would revitalize the manga in my opinion.

Besides, if Oro could and if he did get out of the genjutsu like effect, don't you think other strong ninjas in the past would have gotten out as well?
