Hey, hey, Harry whoops a Phoenix! Fawkes is so much better than
    "a being of that magnificence",
    Right?
Great chapter, and a awesome battle!

Ok, Roqariels character is coming into focus now. I gotta say something about a wailing fallen angel child is inherently funny to me. Nice.

I especially like that Harry wasn't succumbing to his instincts to just do what the pretty creature told him to do. Annoying self important creatures who align themselves with sides and refer to themselves as dark or light should always get an ass kicking. I'm still trying to picture the creature in my head, it's a little hard but its getting there. other than that, good plot development.

Roqariel healing him, would that include his minds. I find it noteworthy that only Snape was present among his hallucinations. I also find the line about Dumbledores mantle noteworthy. Is there more to it, like some kind of compulsion to do good, or was that all natural harry.

Quick question, heavens powers... is that like the power the swords of the knights posses, or is it a different power?

He means to discipline her, you little sicko. :)

Thank you, I was hoping the two battles came out well.

The MSOFFICE1 thing was a left over from the mark-up, I don't know why it stayed in, but I fixed it. Thanks.

Nain's shape is a bit ambiguous, at first Harry couldn't make sense of it either because it's just a mess of streams of light. When shrunk down he can make out a bird-like shape, think of it as a Harpy Eagle like shape, except with very large wings. That's what he is in my mind, but the emphasis is on the shape fluxing because of it's nature, being made of light.

First, Dumbledore's mantle, are the cardinal light spells. They are real, have somewhat a mind of their own, it is not a compulsion to do good. They try but Harry can choose to tell them to shove off, as he did in this chappy.

Heaven's power will be a little different.

    Nope. not. denied. :D

I've got a Britpick for you nuhuh. When it's in Harry Potters perspective, there's a part where he says Roqa "clutched at his pants", but it should really be "trousers". If it were Dresden saying it, it'd be okay, but it's not and Potter's English, and... yeah.
Anyway, great chapter dude, and I'm begging for more. ;)

I can't believe you picked up on that. I actually talked to That Wench about that part when I wrote it, and decided to use pants figuring most people wouldn't know it. Le Sigh.

You can go ahead and read "trousers" k? ;)

Not my fault you lot have corrupted me... I would claim to have had an innocent mind before coming here, but we all know that's not true. You guys just made me worse :p.

Also, pants is fine on this end, might just be a northern thing but we use that all the time.

Where do you live? I was talking about in England where people usually say trousers as opposed to pants (unless it's changed a lot in the last seven years).

O.O You're up early. And when I lived in England, I never heard anyone say pants when they meant trousers.

I had an early night, and also an early morning :p, and I could say the same of you. Also, it may just be a regional thing (I don't venture out that far too often). Where did you live when you were over here? We kind of have a weird accent up here, a mixture of pretty much everything and its aunt.

Croydon, SE London, when I left, people still said "wicked". Lived there from when I was a year old till I was eleven, but still had an Irish accent. Weird, because now that I live in Ireland, I don't have any accent.
