Is it normal that I have to log-in, again and again, every few minutes? Every time I want to post something, or change something in my profile (and etc.) I have to make sure to make it quick or copy what I wrote. If not, I loose everything when DLP ask me to reconnect again.
Could it possibly be that my computer's defense against cookies is too high, that it doesn't accept my log-in or something?

I tried to look into the support and the FAQ section for some information, but either I am quite the stupid buffoon or I was looking with my eyes closed.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

No, it is not normal to have to log in multiple times in on session.

First off which browser do you use?

What level do you have your security set at?

Did you click "Remember Me?" when you log in?

What type of Anti-Virus/Spyware etc, etc, are you running?

Does this happen on any other forums that you visit?

I would try deleting the temp. internet files, cookies, history, saved passwords, etc, etc...

Log back in after that, and see if that solves the problem. If not, then I would try resetting the Internet Explorer options in the advance tab of the "Internet Option".

Log back in, and if that doesn't work...
Download Firefox...

Or get a system registry cleaner and run that (CCleaner come to mind).
Or you can always download and use Firefox. You might want to wait about the CCleaner though, find out from others if that is a wise move.

 

Okay, I did try to delete everything.
I'll post back again if it ever disconnect on it's own.

I'm getting a new computer somewhere between now and the summer, so I'll probably check for this firefox.

Is it a well known browser? I'll admit, I'm not really up to date with all the technology, even if I'm 20 years old in a 21st century town, but I've never heard about firefox...

Okay, but are the adds-on from the same compagny or from different places? Everytime I want to download one (add-on), my computer pop-out a warning about non-secure source. As I just got Firefox, I don't quite trust it yet, so I'm not sure if I should even use that option.

Opinions?

 

Internet Explorer has exactly one use: to download Firefox on clean Windows installs.

True story.

As for the pop-up warning on add-ons, if you got it from the Mozilla page, it's clean.

 

Firefox is better than IE 7 no matter what people say.

One note of caution though, Firefox has this nasty habit of deleting your bookmarks occasionally. Restarting firefox or the comp usually fixes the problem but if it doesnt head to :Bookmark Recov Instructions arent too clear but not vague enough to confuse the average person but since you are here you should be able to figure them out.
Just place the backup file on your desktop or flash drive. It helps when you startup firefox and your favorites are all gone and you're staring at a default homepage.

 

I've come with another question, although it deal more with technicality than a problem with the site.
