I don't know if this covered elsewhere but does anyone think that there is really is a room locked up in the DoM or is Dumbledore full of shit?

Isn't there a door in the circular room that doesn't open for Harry and co. when they try to open it?

Well my belief is that that room holds a pack veelas of who are there for the sole purpose of pleasuring the Unspeakable's when work becomes to stressful for them.

There is. Dumbledore refers to it as the "Love Room". Rowling fed us some bullshit about there being a fountain of Amortentia in there.

Personally, I figure it's either the Ministry's secret Technomancy division, or a portal to the Playboy Mansion. You choose.

It was a door that acted as a gateway to an alternate reality. The unspeakables started using it as a secret execution method when the veil started acting up.

A particularly heinous criminal was shoved through the door and landed in a scene from "My Immortal". Effective, no?

If it leads you to My immortal, that must be the greatest weapon of all time. EVER.

Don't read it. Or if you do, have red hot pincers nearby so you may tear out your eyeballs.

Why the hell would it be the 'love' room if it's just a fountain of love-potion? That's not love, Slughorn says so.

Maybe Dumbledore calls it the love room so he can lure unsuspecting young students there under the guise of an unspeakable offering an apprenticeship?

    Just throwing it out there.

I stopped reading when I got to there. Another reason why not all people were meant to make it out of childbirth. Modern Medicine not always a good thing.

What I don't get is why on earth a fountain of love potion has greater security then the Hall of Prophecy and the Veil of Death.

My Immortal: If you enter "worst fanfiction ever" into the firefox search, it will immediately bring up the first chapter of My Immortal. ;)

@Seratin: Stop pimping that fucking story.

(Goddamit....hafta read some Oedipus Flower to purify myself everytime I see the link)

Back On Topic: Yeah, the locked door was a room of amortentia. Epic gheeeey-ness. Before finding out, I had thought it was going to be something similiar to the power from 'The 5th Element'. Rowling would've been a major copycat, but it still would've been epic.

    But no: we get Amortentia.

If the locked room really has Amortentia in it then that must be where Ginny got her stash of love potion. Because we all know that Ginny as a Weasley could never afford to buy anything, and we know Ginny is not smart enough to make Amortentia.

There really is such a room. It contains Jimmy Hoffa's body, Amelia Earhart's Electra, the Area 51 aliens, and Elvis. All are ingredients in a "forgetfulness" potion, as in "I, JKR, took a forgetfulness potion and neglected to use this plot device after promising my fans I would."

It's called a "Google Bomb," where people intentionally work a certain link to the top of the Google search for specific terms. This was most notably done when people Google Bombed "The Biography of George Bush" with the terms "Miserable Failure."
