I realise that this is a Harry/Fleur community, but I have to ask. What's your stance on Harry/Gabrielle?

It's the only H/G that's worth reading (except for that lulzy story by JCCS).

 

There have been maybe....4 H/GD fics that I've come across that were actually worth reading. Personally, I kind of like the pairing, as long as it doesn't involve pedo, anyways.

The only really good one I have ever read is hope by Jeconais'. It can get very sappy at times but it's pretty good. It's even in my sig.

It's not really a relationship fic, but it gets implied that they'll start a relationship at the end.

 

It's not that I dislike Gabrielle per se, and maybe I just hallucinated, but I swear there was a moment in DH where Gabrielle veela auraed Harry and he was temporarily whammed for a few seconds, which really pissed of Ginny, and a breakoff from that could be total win...if it actually happened.

On the other hand, I usually view Harry/Gabrielle as fail, because it means that Harry ended up with the consolation prize, losing to a Weasley.

 

I like "The Art of Healing" for Harry/Gabrielle. The author is a competent romance writer, on par with Jeconais. Unlike Jeconais however, he doesn't need to make Harry all-powerful or the girl a Mary Sue to make it work.

 

When was the most recent "The Art of Healing" update? V-E Day?

Meh....I didn't really consider Once More all that great, The Art of Healing had the promise of being good, but it hasn't been updated in two years like Augurey says. There's one on Firewhiskey that's decent, I think, and one over at Portkey. Those are the only ones I've ever run across that didn't make me start Alt+F4 my ass off.

 

Huh, I always viewed it as Weasley getting the older model and Harry getting the new one fresh from the shop.

Although, I would be very tempted in the case of Delacour sister threesome or Patil sister threesome.

Clarification: I'm not a Parvati fan, she's just a replica of Padma that would be fun after a quick silencio.

 

I don't mind harems or polygamous relationships all that offensive, at least when it's well written. On the other hand, Parvati would require the silencio just to be tolerable...barely.

I've always liked the idea of Harry/Fleur. Somehow I see Fleur having standards in who she dates, plus the fact that she wouldn't be fangirling Harry like Gin Slut. It would be a developing relationship.

Also, Harry would get some nice veela accommodations. And Fleur seemed to be the supportive type, giving Harry definitely enough freedom to be independent, and not have his balls on a leash. It would be mutually beneficial, really.

And I agree with General Custer, 'Dagger and Rose' is very well written so far.

 

I think Fleur would be good for Harry in a variety of different ways. Politically she would bring a great deal of power, financially, she is a Delacour, and of course there is the sex with a hot blonde who will likely never lose her looks, unlike Ginslut.

And yes, Dagger and Rose is freakin' awesome!
