Then why do we still have Obito theorists? I'm new to this forum's discussion about Naruto -and maybe I was on the wrong page- but I could have sworn someone was theorizing in the last two pages about Tobi being Obito. I could be wrong.

 

....Obito theory started way before we all know who the leader of the akatsuki was, when Tobi appeared. Some kind probably thought "Hay, Tobi...Obito, the mask, the one eye, hay, maybe he's Obito?!"

Not that he has MS, it is basically guaranteed that a Naruto v Sasuke final showdown is not gonna happen. MS is a WTFPWN power. Can't be beaten, unless the user is sick, apparently.

So, Itachi fucking transfers all his mangekyo Sharingan jutsu to Sasuke like it's nothing. WHAT THE FUCK! Just like that! Sasuke without having to do anything is given three of the most powerful jutsu in the manga. And it looks like Kishi is going down the "wrongfully accused" route with Itachi..or something along those lines.

 

I can't articulate how much this annoys me.

Kishimoto has redeemed Itachi.

It is impossible to gauge my rage at this revelation. Kishimoto has officially ruined his manga. There is virtually no way for him to fix it at this point. It is completely impossible.

 

Meh. Just going to have to wait for two weeks and see how this goes.

My guess is that there is going to have to be a short Itachi Gaiden to explain wtf is going on.

Lol. Someone always says this every week. While the backstory for Naruto is very interesting, the actual plot itself has never been that incredible.

EDIT: By backstory, I meant stuff like The Legends of the Tailed Beasts and the Six realms of existence (Six paths of pain) etc. Incidentally that's why I like Pein and his Rinnengan so much.

People say the comic isn't the greatest on a weekly basis, I agree, but I think you misunderstand precisely how badly Kishimoto fucked up this one.

 

Kishi deserves to die, or at least be beaten to an inch of his life until he stops being a Sasugay-fanboy. Seriously, is there anything the bastard won't get? What's next, immortality?

If, and that a very big if, Kishi at least had good explanations for the things he does, I might be able to accept all this shit... but probably not.

Wait, I get it: the reason why Itachi always poked Sasugay was to slowly transfer al his Sharingan-related abilities to him!

 

Actually I think Kishimoto will make mangaka history with Naruto.

He will be known to have ruined his manga SO BADDLY... that anytime any mangaka does any of the following
1. utterly ruins and/or neglects the CENTRAL CHARACTER to the point of making them utterly unlikable
2. utterly ruins the rival character by instead of focusing on the main character (like a story is supposed to) the mangaka takes the rival character and fucking cums all over him, gifting him with cheap and cost free power, thus turning him into a gary stu
3. utterly neglects that dozens of other FAR MORE INTERESTING characters in the story to focus on some one note boring emo jackass

Said mangaka will be known to have "pulled a Kishimoto" and thus have produced epic fail.

Seriously, I think that Kishimoto is going to get a very rude awakening from his editors at shonen Jump in the very near future. If you look at the numbers of fans that actually voted in their character popularity polls... Sasuke makes up only 8.72 percent of the total votes tallied (I put all 5 years of vote totals into excel and figured out which characters have the most overall votes in 6 years, Kakashi is #1 Naruto #2 and Sasuke #3. The point being that all this non stop wanking to Sasuke fans is driving away the bulk of the fans.

Kishimoto claims he's going to do a gangster manga after this... well, he may just have a hard time finding a publisher to carry it at this point. People will remember this and fans are very unforgiving.

 

I admit I did like Sasuke... when he was a relatively minor character. There was an air of mystery about him that was very quickly and thoroughly ruined. Now, eh, fuck him. I didn't even care to know who the "man he had to kill" was, now I know their life stories and that of everyone in their clan? Some questions are better left unanswered.

I really hope this is all setup for Naruto becoming a badass.
